Heartland isn’t leaving anytime soon. Recently, CBC announced the TV show has been renewed for a 12th season.
The Canadian drama, which airs on UP in the U.S., follows a young woman (Marshall) who has a natural gift with horses. The cast also includes Graham Wardle, Michelle Morgan, Chris Potter, Alisha Newton, Shaun Johnston, Kerry James, Gabriel Hogan, and Nathaniel Arcand.
It’s unclear if UP will pick up season 12 of Heartland for the U.S., though it seems likely. Read CBC‘s renewal announcement below:
Friends & Fans, we can happily confirm that, yes, there will indeed be a twelfth season of Heartland on CBC!
There was much optimism and hopefulness that there would be another season of the longest running one-hour dramatic series in Canadian television history, but now it’s 100% confirmed!
A lot of preparation is going on, at this moment, to get ready for the start of filming. There will be many photos from set and loads of information about the new season for everyone to digest. But today there is one main message only, and that message is: Heartland will be back!
You’ve seen the photo at the top of today’s blog before, but it seems appropriate to share it again. It was taken on one of the last production days of season 11, and it shows the cast & crew who are responsible for the actual filming of Heartland. They’ll be returning, including all the lead cast members, when filming starts in a little over a month from now.

Please oh my been waiting for updated information on MY VERY FAVORITE FUN loving show, All characters are a blast. true to life circumstances. I see only again and again re runs up until like 4/2018 then starts at the beginning 2007. I am willing to change from direct tv to dish which has hallmark drama included in the package. Is heartland going to show on the up station or the hallmark drama which i will have to purchase extra with direct tv? don’t have netflix, hulu,no mainstreaming. thankx

I just finished watching all 11 seasons. I started watching and fell in love with the characters and the beautiful Canadian scenery offered in the show. I am delighted to hear I can look forward to another season of positive family television.

Anxiously awaiting for Heartland season 12 to come to UPtv. I don’t have internet and pay Dish Network extra money for the Heartland package. Does anyone know when new episodes for season 12 will be aired in the U.S.? They’re already filming season 13!!! I have triple watched seasons 1-10 for my Heartland fix…lol. Need to see new stuff.
