canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Life in Pieces

Life in Pieces TV show on CBS (canceled or renewed?)Network: CBS
Episodes: 79 (half-hour)
Seasons: Four

TV show dates: September 21, 2015 — June 27, 2019
Series status: Cancelled

Performers include: James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Angelique Cabral, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Niall Cunningham, Betsy Brandt, and Dan Bakkedahl.

TV show description:
A new take on the family comedy, this series divides each episode into quarters. One quarter focuses on a branch of the Short family before bringing them together for the conclusion.

At the top of the family tree are John (James Brolin) and Joan (Dianne Wiest). Although in their twilight years, the pair are still very much in love and aren’t shy about their active sex life. John, about to turn 70, worries he hasn’t much time left and obsesses with his own funeral plans.

In his early thirties, Matt (Thomas Sadoski) still lives at home. This arrangement is proving awkward for his own romantic affairs with co-worker Colleen (Angelique Cabral). Her ex-fiance and dog are struggling to come to terms with the breakup.

Highly traumatized by the horror of childbirth are first-time parents Greg (Colin Hanks) and Jen (Zoe Lister-Jones). They are also shocked to have been released from the hospital with a newborn baby and no training manual.

Taking their son Tyler (Niall Cunningham) to University, eldest sibling Heather (Betsy Brandt) and her husband Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) are also dealing with change. Reluctantly letting their son fly from the nest, Tyler is packed off with a sandwich and some fatherly advice on losing his virginity. Both are unwelcome.

Series Finale:
Episode #79 — Reverse Burden District Germany
When Tim and Heather realize that being grandparents is very far off in the future, they decide to have another baby. Also, Joan gets frustrated when she keeps getting tasked with watching the grandkids; Jen and Greg decide to look for a new house; and Matt gets a job offer in Germany, which is problematic for Colleen and Lucas.
First aired: June 27, 2019.

Please do no cancel this show. It is very funny, but it might take some getting used to by people who are accustomed to a more typical formula. Let it develop and grow on you. The show is like four short skits, and as soon as the characters are more developed and the audience gets to know them, maybe the viewers won’t be left feeling so unfulfilled. I, for one, would like to see more of Jordan Peele and his adorable dog.

Please cancel, I watched this show several times and I didn’t laugh once. It is not at all funny to me just crude. Crude doesn’t always mean funny. And if it’s so good, why do they have to keep putting it behind Big Bang Theory which really is a funny show. Can’t it stand on its own?

In my opinion this is the funniest show on tv. Please do not cancel Life in Pieces!! I believe that if it was advertised more it would take off very quickly. Most people I know have never heard of it yet. I am surprised that it is not being aired at 8pm or 9pm as people tend to overlook the 8:30 time slot. I think if this show is given a chance and properly advertised it will surpass Modern Family in a short time as one of the funniest tv shows currently airing. I seriously laugh out loud (by myself)… Read more »

CBS will be getting a very nasty letter if this show is canceled. Why do the best shows always get canceled? there’s only been five episodes please give us one full season at least. Honestly CBS don’t air something if your not gonna stick with something just because of a few negative comments.

This show is incredible! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL! why do the best shows always get canceled? There’s only been five episodes if you give people a chance to adjust to it I’m sure its will be super popular and its already on the top fifty most popular comedy shows this year! Please give it just one season! My whole family loves this show, we’ll be so disappointed if it gets canceled.
