TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
One of the best shows!
It should go on another season at least.
I really enjoy Longmire and think that it should be renewed for at least another season.
please don’t let this show be cancelled-we love it
I really enjoy this show…. would love to see it renewed.
It’s difficult for me to get into most drama series today… HOWEVER. That being said, “Longmire” is a winner. In “Longmire” the script writing, is taut, and tense… and the stories are credible, as opposed to insulting our intelligence. Characters are engaging, and their back stories are well fleshed out. Plot twists are placed where they should be, to keep the audience guessing. There a great many stories here, to be told… It’s the story of a County with growing pains. As with any County, there are the rich and ambitious men, and the poor working folks that they prey… Read more »
I have really enjoyed this series and would love to see more. Good programs are hard to find anymore and this one is a winner in my book. I love the cast and the drama. Hope to see more of this.
The problem is that this show may too good. It has everything going for that most people who make decisions on such things can’t see. It needs to stay on.
Please continue any more seasons (if there will be more) of Longmire on Netflix
It is better than anything else on TV — great stories and characters.
I have watched season 4 and really liked it I’m hoping that there will be a season 5. Hope we’re not left hanging in the air as what happens to everyone.
This is a Great Series. It should keep going.
STILL TICKED OFF ABOUT LONGMIRE BEING CANCELLED!!!!!!! WISH NETWORKS (INCLUDING A&E) HAVE A GREAT SERIES, THEY CANCEL IT!!!!!!!! LONGMIRE A GREAT SHOW; NOT EVERYONE LIKES THESE REALTY SHOW SERIES!!!!!!!
EVERY TIME NETWORKS GET GREAT TV SERIES, THEY CANCEL THE GREAT ONES!!!!!! I’M TICKED OFF ABOUT THE ORIGINAL CANCELLATION OF LONGMIRE!!!!!! A&E NEEDS TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER. NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO WATCH REALITY SHOWS AROUND THE CLOCK.
It is too bad A&E doesn’t want to put on quality programs any more…there reality shows stink! ALL OF THEM!! Can’t understand why anyone would want watch crap like that instead of good quality family programming.
No I don’t think it should be canceled, just started watching it on Netflix. Have gone thru all 4 seasons, and it stop on a cliff hanger. Keep going it is a good show. Please let me know if it will continue, I saw a post that is was going to continue is that true, I thought it was an old show from t.v. being shown on netflix.
