TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Watched the new season on NETFLIX. Loved this show when it was on A&E, love it on NETFLIX. Just an absolute shame middle age viewers are not considered important. Guess that is why I got NETFLIX. Hope more seasons are in the work.
LOVE LOVE this show.
Enjoyed watching Longmire on Netflix. Want to see more. Season 4 left off with a cliffhanger. Great to watch a show that is not made for tweens, of stupid story lines and even dumber reality shows that have flooded todays tv. The show has made me want to visit both Wyoming and Montana.
Outstanding series, keep it coming. We look forward to every episode, with all of its strong cast members & story line. I thought this brand & style of TV was long gone & forgotten, it’s so refreshing to see it come back again. Thanks again to Netflix for picking this one up!
Yes it is a great show please keep it on
We love this show–the scenery, the characters, the stories–please keep it going and don’t let it degenerate into sleeze after 3 seasons. Keep bringing in more of the country, the town, the “little” people, the Res–all of it. It’s so refreshing to see a show set in this location with strong characters. Keep it going!
Keep making more and more of longmire! It’s my favorite show!
Please tell me there is more Longmire coming? I need more of these shows.
I keep watching the old ones but would love to see more.
Please do not cancel Longmire, great show.
Do not cancel the show. Please another season.
Thank You Ann Johnson
I’m so glad that I discovered this show on Netflix.
Love, love, love it.
Great cast and guest stars.
Please don’t cancel this show…one of the better ones. Have watched it since it came on. So hard to find a really good show with morals, without the expletives and nudity and sex scenes. We love this story line, the characters, the actors, everything about it. We don’t get Netflix, put it back on TV. I have my TV programmed to bring it on when it revives automatically.
Bring it back, please don’t cancel. We love this show, the story line, the characters, the actors, everything about it. I agree with everything good said about it. So hard to find a decent TV show with morals and no vampires or other wacky subjects.
I waited a long time before watching Longmire on netflix. But when I did, I became addicted! I have Native American heritage, (Cherokee and Blackfeet) and was so glad to see programming depicting Native life. I don’t watch reality shows, comedy shows aren’t funny so most of my television viewing is Netflix so I can pick what I like. I so hope Longmire continues. It’s a great series.
Please do not end the show. I love it allot!
Bring it back!!
