Ransom is wrapping up. It was just announced the CBS TV show has been cancelled after three seasons.
The drama series, which airs on Global in Canada, centers on crisis and hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont (Roberts). He and his team save lives which often seem beyond saving, in part, because Eric understands criminals better than they understand themselves. The cast also includes Karen LeBlanc, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Nazneen Contractor.
On Ransom‘s official Twitter, it was announced the series will not return for a fourth season. Season three of the CBS series averaged a .26 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.343 million viewers.

Will I miss Ransom? Very much so. It was an intelligent show with riveting storylines which kept getting better. If I couldn’t watch it, I recorded it. I agree that if it were on a different night, it would be well received. Remember when Blue Bloods started out on a different night and then took off when it was changed? Either CBS or another network should bring it back.
Well it certainly was a well executed show. Cultured- classed- different perspective- certainly the vebage was educated. I have no idea what the point of shows that are good taken off. Maybe instead of following the blood and gore the Americans want you try to raise the Americans to a higher standard of using their brain and learning something. I really hope amazon or Netflix picks it up.
Why do all the good shows ALWAYS get canceled? Just because the ratings are low, shouldn’t it matter to the ones who want to continue to see the show? I guess NOT!! Now watch CBS put on some stupid, dumb comedy MESS! I know a lot of other viewers asked who watch TV on a Saturday night. Well, I do! Lol. And I also DVR a lot of shows, including Ransom. SMH
This was a great show with a great cast , Saturday Night time slot Sucks… I wonder how some of CBS’s higher rated shows would fare on Saturday Night… Bring it back and give it a good time slot & let’s see what happens. TOO GOOD to kick to the curbe . CBS was my Favorite Prime time network but I may have to rethink that with this asinine decision making…….

I’m so sad that Ransom has been cancelled I cannot believe this. It us truly upsetting why????? Would they cancel such a great show. I’m so disappointed but #Thank you Ransom for the last 3 years. I sure will miss you all. Love you guys xoxo

What is it with CBS? Always cancelling the good shows. Getting tired of it. I’m going to stop watching CBS because the shows wont last.
I totally agree! Ransom was on Saturday night ! How many folks are watching TV on Sat night??? They go out on Saturday night! Move it to another day, week day!!! Also who cares about the 18-49 group? You should pay attention to the older folks- the younger ones aren’t interested in TV anymore!
