canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Ransom: Cancelled; No Season Four for CBS’ Saturday Night Series

by Jessica Pena, July 3, 2019

Ransom TV show on CBS: cancelled; no season four

Ransom is wrapping up. It was just announced the CBS TV show has been cancelled after three seasons.

The drama series, which airs on Global in Canada, centers on crisis and hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont (Roberts). He and his team save lives which often seem beyond saving, in part, because Eric understands criminals better than they understand themselves. The cast also includes Karen LeBlanc, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Nazneen Contractor.

On Ransom‘s official Twitter, it was announced the series will not return for a fourth season. Season three of the CBS series averaged a .26 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.343 million viewers.

See reactions to the cancellation from the stars and creators below:

#Ransom fans: We’re joyful & lucky to have shared these past three seasons with you. Unfortunately, we have to bid the CriRes team farewell. We loved telling stories about strong, smart characters resolving conflicts with words instead of violence. Thank you for watching.

I don’t think they can be. Surely they can see how much the show means to us. Please don’t cancel it.

Really really sad you are cancelling RANSOM. The best of them all. What’s going on CBS?
Why? Are you really paying attention to “us” the every day public?

I stopped watching after the first cancellation. If they do not care about the viewers and it is clear they do not then why should I care about the show. i

I get that it was a summer replacement…but gosh it was so good. Kind of felt this might be the case due to how it ended. Still was hopeful.

Please don’t do this. RANSOM is the best programme I have watched for a very very long time. Why are they taking it off? The actor’s were all great, especially Luke Roberts. Here in UK we are almost at the end of series 3 and loving it. I hope they have a rethink.

One of the best shows out there, loved Ransom! There was no violence and issues were worked out with negotiation. The world could learn from that. Please bring the show back! Are we reduced to watching a ridiculous show like Big Brothers???

It doesn’t look like there will be much to watch this year on CBS. Our family loved ransom and CBS was our go to channel. A show where people help others instead witches and demons

Why do all the good shows get canceled? I love ransome. That’s all I watch on Saturday nights. The 18-49 age group are not the only ones that watch TV. Please don’t cancel Ransom.

They always cancel the good ones and put on all that crappy “reality and game show tv” !! I’m sick of it !!! My life has enough ‘reality’ in it why would anybody want to watch it on TV too !!!!
Glad I have a Firestick and Netflix !!!

I can list so many other shows that should be cancelled yet this one where the characters are all smart & classy with interesting story lines & execution gets tossed aside. I will miss having a show I actually look forward to seeing.

I Agree With You Cheryl Why Not Give The Viewers What They Enjoy Seeing Which Is A Smart And Classy Show RANSOM They Need Too Rethink About Yhis And Think Of All The Viewers Instead Of Themselves
