What’s This TV Show About?
A sitcom airing on the NBC television network, the first season of Trial & Error stars Nicholas D’Agosto, John Lithgow, Krysta Rodriguez, Steven Boyer, Jayma Mays, and Sherri Shepherd. The story centers on new lawyer Josh Segal (D’Agosto). To tackle his first case, this New Yorker sets out for the tiny Southern town of East Peck. There, he must defend eccentric, “rollercizing” poetry professor, Larry Henderson (John Lithgow), who is charged with murdering his wife. The defense team includes a bunch of quirky locals: Larry’s daughter Summer Henderson (Rodriguez) and former cop and lead investigator Dwayne Reed (Boyer), as well as Carol Anne Keane (Mays) and Anne Flatch (Shepherd).
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
NBC has had mixed results with its freshman comedies during the 2016-17 television season. Although a cancellation seems likely for Powerless, The Good Place did well enough to earn a second season. Which path will Trial & Error ultimately follow? It premiered to mediocre ratings and the numbers have been falling lower and lower. Please renew Trial & Error. So funny. We need comedy in this day and age. So sick of drama filled reality shows.
I love this show. It is hilarious. I laugh through the entire show, but it does also have a storyline to follow. I hope this show does not get cancelled. The characters
match the dialogue perfectly. It is amazing how the writers can come up with some of these original comments. They must laugh hysterically when filming .
I just started watching and loving this show On Demand due to word of mouth. I have never seen ads for it. No wonder it is struggling.
This show should not be canceled yet. It’s quirky like Arrested Development, and needs time to find its footing. Give it the chance it deserves.
