Criminal Minds is getting ready for its end. A double episode series finale will air next Wednesday night, and CBS has now released details about both episodes for viewers of the series. Fans should expect some characters that departed the series to return for the big send-off.

CBS shared the following details about the episodes:

“Face Off” – It has been a year since Rossi nearly died at the hands of Everett Lynch, a.k.a. “The Chameleon,” and he has developed some new theories, with inspiration from his former partner, Jason Gideon (Ben Savage). The BAU team sets out on an epic hunt to capture Lynch, in the cliff-hanger to the series finale episode of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 19 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

“And in the End” – Following an explosive face-to-face encounter with Everett Lynch, a.k.a. “The Chameleon,” Dr. Reid suffers from a brain injury and, while experiencing hallucinations, is visited by ghosts from his past. Also, the BAU makes a shocking discovery about Lynch that affects Rossi personally, and the entire BAU team comes together to celebrate Rossi’s retirement, on the series finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Written by executive producer Erica Messer and series star Kirsten Vangsness.

Currently, the series averages 4.623 million viewers an episode.

What do you think? Are you sad to see Criminal Minds end?

Just can’t believe that as amazing as it is it’s going off! They definitely need to do a spinoff called something else

I have watched from the beginning- there were times I was disappointed in the direction but somehow they pulled back to what they were in the beginning— a great series that made you think and love the characters. I don’t know what I’ll do without it.

Sooo sad to see the series end! It has been a roller coaster ride in character development but a fabulous time. Will miss all the characters very much!

I really love this show and I wished they would seriously consider continuing this show. Also why does Reid have to get hurt, AGAIN!

I’m going to miss Criminal Minds. There was no reason it couldn’t have continued as long as Law and Order SVU. CBS is making a serious mistake

I’ve watched “Criminal Minds” from the first episode to the final season finale that’s coming up and they’ve become like family. Spencer Reid is a lot like my own son so when something happens to him it’s like it’s happening to my son and it upsets me. I really wish that it wasn’t coming to an end but, I guess it’s like they say, “All good things must come to an end” and that includes this. It’s going to take quite a show to try to replace this one. I really don’t think there’s one that can.

I am so so sad. I have seen reruns for the 3rd. time and I just love them. Even though since Hitch and Morgan left it hasn’t been as good as it was but still they are the best. It breaks my heart as its getting to the end.

One of your numbers of best fans.

I have watched this show sense it started. It has had it’s up and downs with different actors changing. Some I love some not so much. The show has always been top grade for me. I will truly miss it. One of your best fans.
