Perhaps because ABC owns General Hospital outright, the network sometimes doesn’t announce if their sole surviving soap opera has been renewed for another season. However, they’d certainly let us know if the show had been cancelled! Since the soap is still airing, we can assume they renewed it for 2015-16. Will GH survive to see a 54th season? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting on April 1st of 1963, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Laura Wright, Nancy Grahn, Finola Hughes, Dominic Zamprogna, Rebecca Herbst, Kelly Monaco, Sonya Eddy, Roger Howarth, Carolyn Hennesy, Billy Miller, Vinessa Antoine, William deVry, Kathleen Gati, Kirsten Storms, Chad Duell, Haley Pullos, Bryan Craig, Ryan Paevey, Tyler Christopher, Lisa Lo Cicero, Teresa Castillo, and Jane Elliot.

I agree! Keep it on! You took off all my children then one life to live! I started watching GH because some of the chacters came from my other canacelled soaps. I started watching in my teens when it was Ryans Hope,All My Chrildren then One Life to Live my daughter who is now 18 watched with me when i got home from work, taped series. I now have my husband watching it with me, lol. Please keep it on this is my outlet when we get home from work. Thank You
Please don’t take General Hospital off the air it’s about the only one left on and I have been watching it since the first time it aired. I dearly love it.
Please keep GH, it relates to so many issues that people are currently dealing with. I have watched for at least 40 years along with my husband, children & their families & friends. I have watched the actors grow up over the years. We will not miss an episode & record it to be safe. It wouldn’t be the same without our daily dose of GH soap! Would love to check out the set sometime. Thanks for so many interesting seasons of General Hospital. Keep up the great work!
It’s a keeper!!!! Please leave it on. I have been watching for over 40 years. I will miss the leaving cast but I will never stop watching! It is part of my past that will be in my future as long as it airs!!!
Must keep it on the air! I was so disappointed when OLTL was cancelled, but them thrilled when some of the actors became new characters on GH.

Please do not cancel! Watching General Hospital is my favorite time of day. Cancelling the other soaps was devastating enough but please don’t take GH too.
While I was watching GH today it seemed like it was giving me the thought they may be going off the air. What a big disappointment that would be. So many people including me would be so lost without our daytime show. A place where we can get lost in a world of make believe once a day. I was just thinking the same thing. I would be devastated if the show cancels. All shows have their ups and downs but never that far down for me not to stop watching ever. Please keep GH alive!

Keep it on DO NOT CANCEL IT they already got rid of other soaps that were a part of our lives growing up you CAN NOT got rid of GH they are part of my family and I’m sure other people feel the same way.
Please don’t cancel General Hospital I been watching it since the 1st grade and the show inspired me to be a nurse. I would go home sick 3 times a week from school when I was in the 1st grade just to watch Nurse Amy. I became a member of Hulu just so I wouldn’t miss a episode. Now I’m a nurse I been at my county hospital for 16 yrs. Please keep GH on the air.

I, like many others have watched GH since I was young. I used to watch it with my Mom and my Grams. I remember coming home from school to see Luke and Laura versus the world, so it seemed. This is the only soap that I watch, I do hope that it stays on the air. (I am part of the 18-49 demographic.)
