What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the EPIX television channel, Get Shorty stars Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano with Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, Carolyn Dodd, Goya Robles, Megan Stevenson, Steven Weber, and Sarah Stiles. Loosely based on the Elmore Leonard novel, the TV show follows Miles Daly (O’Dowd) the muscle for a Nevada crime ring. He tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood with the help of a washed-up producer, Rick Moreweather (Romano), as a means to leave his criminal past behind. In season three, Miles embraces more ruthless methods as he settles scores and attempts to climb the Hollywood ladder.

Will EPIX cancel or renew Get Shorty for season four? The channel is a cable-Internet hybrid channel and isn’t part of the Nielsen system. Since I don’t have ratings, I must rely on my gut. My sense is that this show will be renewed for a fourth season. Whenever MGM TV and EPIX want to end the show, they’ll renew Get Shorty for a final season rather than cancel it without warning. We love this show! Once we discovered it, we couldn’t stop watching it until we were caught up. We have told several friends and family about Get Shorty and now they’re hooked too. Please renew for a fourth season.
How could they not renew? I LOVE this show! Chris O’Dowd – where has he been hiding? Looove him and Sean Bridgers- both hilarious. They have me rolling, I love it. The whole dynamic in the beginning when Ray is clueless and then you have Owens roommate and Louis a mormon but he’ll blow someone’s head off. Lol The humor in this show is right up my alley! How could they leave us hanging just like that? We have all invested so much into this wonderful series. The characters have become part of our family. What a great ride! Heart-broken without it. Send Miles in for negotiations!!

Good show. Last episode in this set should be titled “Be Careful What You Wish For”. Series could end on a short season where Miles becomes a sort of clone of Lawrence Budd. Miles has climbed high (in dastardly ways, just like Lawrence) but lives in fear of what a vengeful desperado may do to him or his loved ones. He has powerful friends but has poisoned his own well at work and home. Will never enjoy the fruits. Poetic! And the coyote of death makes a metaphorical second appearance at the end. Without Get Shorty epic is really not needed I couldn’t easily care less if It was even available without get shorty in fairness I’m taking it out on them I hate 3 season shows unless its known from the beginning its gonna be a short series but dont get me invested in these shows if you’re not invested yourself also the final season should be 2 episodes extra with the final 1 or 2 being 90 min as opposed to 60…..those are the things that pull me over the edge on a regular show that I like vs one I… Read more »
