Ignacio Serricchio is heading to Netflix. Deadline reports the Bones star has joined the streaming service’s upcoming reboot of Lost in Space.

Based on Irwin Allen’s classic 1960s TV series, the sci-fi drama follows the adventures of the space-traveling Robinsons family. The cast includes Parker Posey, Toby Stephens, and Maxwell Jenkins.

Serricchio will play “Don West, a roughneck smuggling luxury goods on the side who finds in the Robinsons the family he never thought he would find.” The role was originated by Mark Goddard int he 1960s series.

Lost in Space is slated to debut on Netflix in 2018.
