Is Mad About You making a comeback? TVLine reports there may be a reboot of the NBC TV show in the works.
The ’90s sitcom starred Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt as Paul and Jamie Buchman, a newly married couple living in New York City. The show ran seven seasons before ending in 1999.
According to TVLine, Sony Pictures Television Studios (who produced Mad About You) has begun discussing a possible reboot with both Reiser and Hunt returning. The revival would reportedly center on Paul and Jamie’s relationship after their daughter goes to college.
Neither Sony nor NBC have confirmed the reboot. If it does happen, Mad About You will follow in the footsteps of other recently revived shows like The X-Files, Prison Break, Will & Grace and 2018’s Roseanne.

I would definitely watch, because I loved the original, and Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt are great together. That said, I do have some misgivings. In addition to the repeated sentiment in the comments here that reboots are being over done, my issue is how this all works with the series finale. The “Mad About You” finale included a 20 to 30 year time leap in which we saw Jamie repeatedly change her mind as to weather Paul should have a vasectomy, Jamie having a miscarriage and Jamie and Paul being broken up, although at the end of the episode,… Read more »

I would love to see how the Buchanans have grown over the years. I loved this show as a young adult. It would also be great to see how Mabel was influenced by the quirkiness of her partents?
yes I would watch it, I loved that show. the new Will and Grace stinks, and that used to be one of my favorites, now it’s just silly but loved Mad About You
I was so in love with these charecters I used to say I would date and marry Ira just to be in the group.

Oh, dear, I don’t think this is going in a good direction, only because of facelifts and face alterations – I barely recognize some of these people. Some of the older actors are starting to assimilate into a couple of common looks, or rather, like a model of a car, they must choose certain model types/looks. Sure. It was a great show. Now there are lots of new things to base the show around that would be entertaining. I think the original fans would embrace the show happily if the writing quality is good.
