Does the last leg of the Hecks’ journey travel the middle way, in the ninth season of The Middle TV show on ABC? As we know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Middle is cancelled or renewed for season 10. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because of that, some viewers were frustrated that their viewing habits and opinions weren’t considered, before the decision was made to end The Middle with season nine. An ABC sitcom, The Middle stars Patricia Heaton, Mike Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher, and Atticus Shaffer. The comedy centers on the Heck family. Frankie (Heaton) and Mike (Flynn) are middle-aged, middle-class parents. They live in the middle of the country with their three children, easy going Axl (McDermott), a recent college graduate; enthusiastic middle child Sue (Sher), a college junior; and bright, quirky Brick (Shaffer), who is now a high school sophomore.

Please bring back The Middle, I’ve watched every episode although I had to watch it from my computer or tablet sometimes. It is very clean, interesting and entertaining……..I honestly love all of the characters and feel like the actors are perfectly casted to their characters. I would love to see Brick and his girlfriend grow up.
Please! You’ve got to bring The Middle back! This is the best show ever!! We watch marathons of The Middle. We can’t get enough. Every character is perfect. The writers are spot on. Please please bring the show back. Same actors.

This is our favorite show since the very start. We cannot believe that it might end. We have laughed, cried and re-watched every episode. I cannot think of another comparable show for the family. PLEASE CONTINUE THE SHOW!
So sorry to see the show end. Our family watched it since the beginning. It represented family and everything that happens to it. There are so many things they could do in the show. Just watching it makes us and I’m sure other people happy. PLEASE DONT TAKE IT OFF THE AIR. PLEASE!!!
So sorry to see this show end. We have seen every episode and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. So nice to see family situations that bring a smile to your day. Beautifully presented and acted. We will certainly miss the Hecks!!
I can’t believe you are taking The Middle off the air. It is a really great show and always has been. The show is still extremely funny and they have not run out of show ideas. Come on, leave it on!

I will so miss this show… I wanted to see the Heck children grow up.
We have followed The Middle through all of its seasons and absolutely LOVE this show. The writing is so easy to relate to, as we are a normal middle class family with lots of challenges to get through. Sometimes I think Frankie and I are twins! We will really miss this show as well as the wonderful cast that makes it happen each week!

So sad the series finale was very dissapointing. Wish u will reconsider bringing it back. I have watched this show with my husband and kids for years. We love it.
Changing The Middle from Wednesday to Tuesday was a mistake . until Roseanne was brought on. I love this show and for the past 9 years wondered what would happen to this family that season. This show is one of the only family comedy shoes left and was cancelled in error ! Please reconsider this show !
