CBS hasn’t made an official announcement yet but their Mom TV show has been renewed for a third season. Series writer Sheldon Bull broke the news on Twitter, writing, “MOM picked up for next year! Thanks, fans from all of us at MOM!”
On Mom, a single mom in recovery (Anna Faris) returns to live with her single mother, who’s also in recovery (Allison Janney). The cast of the show includes Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Spencer Daniels, Matt L. Jones, Nick Corddry, Mimi Kennedy, and French Stewart.
Mom was a moderate success in its first year but, not surprisingly, the show’s ratings have improved this season as part of CBS’ Thursday night line-up. It’s currently averaging a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.35 million viewers. It’s the only CBS scripted series to show season-to-season gains in both categories.
Mike & Molly has also been renewed for the 2015-16 season. The Big Bang Theory is one season into a three season renewal so executive producer Chuck Lorre will have at least three comedies on CBS next season.

I love the Mom show it’s one of the most “real” shows on TV and is a great sitcom. Allison Janey is always the best. It shows non recovering people what happens when recovering folks try to move on with their lives in a humorous and sometime bleak way. Those who don’t like bleak tone are afraid of the reality in their world. Keep MOM on TV.
I liked the show at first. Now it seems like they’re running out of storyline. Why are there no minorities also? Won’t miss it at all and I love Anna Faris!
It is the best Show since 2 1/2 Men! It touches on reality and has a soft spot for sensitive issues. Outstanding Show, keep it going!!!
I love Mom and it is a shame when something great comes on it always gets cancelled,but all the shows that suck stay on the air

I love Mom. I love the story line, the puns the writing is fantastic. The whole cast. This is reality TV. This show is so close to real life, I could have wrote it! That’s what makes it so cool,

What a wonderful, refreshing take on recovery and life afterwards! Keep it going, if you need any more material, there’d are thousands of meetings everyday with an incredible amount of material, both tragic,sweet, and incredibly funny!
This is real world humor, almost everyone is touched by recovery, and your show is helping to make it an accepted, and fun lifestyle!!
