For its first two seasons, NCIS: New Orleans has had the security of airing directly out of flagship NCIS, CBS‘ most watched series. Now, the network is moving the series to 10pm, a timeslot with fewer viewers. Will this move negatively impact the ratings or, could they grow? Could it be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.
NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes CCH Pounder, Daryl Chill Mitchell, Lucas Black, Rob Kerkovich, Shalita Grant, and Vanessa Ferlito.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The second season of NCIS: New Orleans averaged a 1.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.98 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

NCIS New Orleans is wonderful and you need to move the time back to 8:00pm center time right after NCIS. Bull needs to be moved to another day and time.

I really enjoy this show because the team is so cohesive and so very likeable. The scenery and setting in New Orleans is so lovely that it prompted my husband and I to take a trip there! We loved it!

I love the show. The characters all seem to work together very well. I like that it is filmed on site as well. The stories seem to follow the next, no matter the case. The N.C.I.S. series I like. Since it’s only my wife and I in our home,now, we each love the show. I hope it continues in the future. We have basically 3 shows we are not gonna miss, Blue Bloods, N.C.I.S New Orleans, and (even though it’s on another network) Chicago P.D. (along with Chicago Med) in short, we hope N.C.I.S. New Orleans has an open future.
I love this show. It’s a good counterpoint to how things work in NCIS in washington vs out in the boondocks. And Scott Bakula is the right man for the role. Also the main NCIS show took a few years to find it’s feet also. So no surprise NCIS New Orleans is taking a few seasons of ups and downs. I do think getting rid of Broody was a bad move though. I agree. I’m from the south and it is horrible. Terrible acting, writing everything. Can’t believe it’s still on
I love the show! Keep it going! I record NCIS and NCIS New Orleans every week and look forward to relaxing and sitting down to watch my 2 favorite shows! Keep, keep, keep!!!
I enjoy the show, however Shalita Grants character adds nothing to the show. The love interest with her character is an overreach. But, I hope it’s renewed.
