NCIS: New Orleans: Season Two Ratings

Published: May 18, 2016

NCIS: New Orleans TV show on CBS: ratings (cancel or renew?)Last season, CBS successfully launched another NCIS spin-off, NCIS: New Orleans. It became the season’s third most-watched series on network television. Will viewers continue to tune in this year? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, Rob Kerkovich, C. C. H. Pounder, Daryl Mitchell, and Shalita Grant.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

3/25 update: CBS has renewed this series and 10 others for the 2016-17 season. Details here.

5/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.

For comparisons: The first season of NCIS: New Orleans averaged a 2.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 15.26 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?

Enjoy the different format of the NCIS shows and long may they continue as there does not appear to be much on the horizon of any interest coming along. Must be hard for the producers and script writers having to please the 18-49 range as they probably have zero interest in most TV shows these days. Why bother with them as they probably have high expenses and low spending power. Might be novel but how about thinking of the core TV viewers………………………………..and what they enjoy watching.

NCIS New Orleans is a great show I look forward to watching it every Tuesday just like the rest of my family does and I hope CBS isn’t stupid to think they can cancel it just renew it for another season and the season after that.

So both NCIS and NCIS NO brought in young female characters tryimg to go younger and more female friendly in hopes of gaining demo. And in both cases it has failed miserably as both shows are LOSING demo and total viewers.

Shalita Grant is awful. The constant chatter and interruptions of the other characters is annoying. This show does not need this character, for the second year they should have continued to develop the characters they already had. Her squeaky pitched voice is very grating. Too many other good actresses out there. POOR CHOICE!

Funny, i really like her character. she’s the only one with life. The rest are pretty milquetoast and guaranteed to bring on a good nap.

I do NOT like this character at all. I like the rest of the characters but just hearing her voice I had to turn it off. Won’t be watching NCIS NO again.

Makes no sense to bring her in–an undercover DEA agent with attitude–I don’t believe her character. And the show is losing more and more 18-49 viewers each show. She’s just awful. They won’t make it past this season if they keep her on.

We are loving NCIS NO! We like the camaraderie between the agents and the medical/tech people. Also the interplay with the original NCIS members is how a national agency would work. We hope this NCIS version goes as long as the original.

Nemo, you really made me laugh!!! I also agree with R when she said that when she was in their favored demographic, she was never home!!! Too funny! I think the dopey advertisers are playing to the wrong audience!!!

If R is a guy, just change my pronouns above!

all the while walking past the stack of cash that baby boomers in the prime earnings years have and can spend cause the house is paid off, kids are gone…..

The best thing about this show is the scenery. The plots are too predictable and unbelievable. And who does the hair?

I’ve lost interest with NCIS since the exit of Cote de Pablo, it’s lost its personality. The characters around Michael Weatherly are pretty milquetoast and even Tony is running down.

This show has a great ensemble cast and location, and i like the addition of Shalita Grant to the cast. I’d like to see some better writing, but it’s a regular for me now.

I like the New Orleans versions of NCIS the least of all the NCIS shows, but it still is an interesting show and so much better than many others. One of the approx. 10 shows a week that I watch. Why is the demographic always on the 18-49 age bracket???? As I understand from a lot of reading, those of us older than 49 buy as much “stuff”, if not more…

3 Cheers to you Nemo F. THAT is exactly what the advertisers think of us older folks… the funny part about that is that when I was in their favored demographic I almost never watched tv…. I wasn’t even home! Now I’m home most of the time and no one gives a hoot about my opinion even if I do buy a lot of “stuff!” Now, as for NCIS NO…. Ugh… I just can’t get past that HORRIBLE MUSIC! So no, we love the other 2 NCIS shows but do not watch this one… If it were to get cancelled… Read more »
