This Is Us aired its season one finale last week, but what about season two? Recently, the cast and creators discussed the future of the NBC TV series, Deadline reports.
The drama follows a group of seemingly unconnected people as their paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. The cast includes Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Ron Cephas Jones.
During a recent panel at PaleyFest, executive producer Glenn Ficarra said season two might explore Jack more:
We’ve gotten to see Jack from a certain perspective this season. I think we might get him from another perspective, and other characters…It’s kind of an endless canvas.”
He says there has been a lot of talk about season two plans:
NBC has already renewed This Is us for a second season.There have been advanced talks—a lot of logistics discussions—but [the writers] have to reconvene in early July, or June, actually, to really get it going. We have some new writers on staff. The great thing about the show is it’s like this spider web, and we’re able to go off in all directions and delve deep into people.”

I can’t believe the seasons are so short! There’s too much time between seasons, by the time you’re back Ill be in to some thing else and so will many other fans!

Love this new series and it’s actors….especially Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore & Justin Hartley (if we can’t have him as Adam on Y&R, glad he’s here). Love the format and hope it is around for a long time.
