The CW has quarantined Containment for good. TVLine reports the network has cancelled the new drama after one season.
The series followed a group of people affected by a mysterious epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta. David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence, and Trevor St. John starred.
The drama, which was billed as a limited series, premiered in April to weak ratings. So far, the series is averaging only .51 in the 18-49 demo with 1.5 million viewers.

I’m so upset this show got cancled.. the best show I’ve ever watch, real life dram that can very well happen!! Yet the walking dead is still.on air.. ugh makes me so made 20 of my friends watch this show too!! BRING IT BACK!!!!!!

I can’t believe it’s being cancelled after only one season. It is a great show with great characters. I’m mad I even got into the show for this to happen!
Why? CW should allow a series a 2 season minimum & then determine canceling. The series just peaked to draw a bigger viewing spectrum. Since the birth of the CW channel I’ve watched several shows get swept to the trash can & viewers come out of the woodwork wanting to now why! What survey group did you use to base cutting the series & maybe you need to sweep them to the trash can !
Please keep the show. I love it. I was pretty sad when they killed off the teacher last week. I couldn’t stop crying.
