Containment: Cancelled by CW; No Season Two

The CW has quarantined Containment for good. TVLine reports the network has cancelled the new drama after one season.

The series followed a group of people affected by a mysterious epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta. David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence, and Trevor St. John starred.

The drama, which was billed as a limited series, premiered in April to weak ratings. So far, the series is averaging only .51 in the 18-49 demo with 1.5 million viewers.

Why would they cancel this show, which I thought was really good, and renew shows that had less than half the ratings, and really sucked ( 0.20 rating Crazy Ex-Girlfriend)? This show at least has a 0.50 rating in it’s first year, which I think would’ve only gotten better as more people were exposed to the show. The show has a ton of potential, and was very enjoyable. So Sad

I am so disappointed that this series is being cancelled and yet we have season after season of the super Ranger types as well as crap like family guy!! Unbelievable that as educated and civilized we watch that junk!!

Just started watching on Netflix and loving it . Now I know its cancelled I don’t know if I want to complete watching since I know it will not be concluded! Oh well, not the 1st time I liked a show that was cancelled after 1 season.

Please don’t cancel containment, I love the show and the characters and hope to see more. I never missed one episode when it was playing and have been waiting for the next season.
