Last year, Days of Our Lives was (once again) the lowest-rated of the four remaining network soap operas. It seemed very possible that it could be cancelled by NBC but the network renewed Days in March 2018. Will it be renewed for season 55 for the 2019-20 broadcast season or, is this venerable soap truly in its final days? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
Premiering on November 8th of 1965, Days of Our Lives is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. It revolves around the members of the Brady, Horton, and DiMera families — along with their friends, enemies, and lovers. Castmembers include Lucas Adams, Lamon Archey, Camila Banus, Nadia Bjorlin, Tyler Christopher, Kassie DePaiva, Mary Beth Evans, Billy Flynn, Galen Gering, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Olivia Rose Keegan, Victoria Konefal, Lauren Koslow, Eric Martsolf, Chandler Massey, Marci Miller, Casey Moss, Melissa Reeves, James Reynolds, Suzanne Rogers, Christopher Sean, Freddie Smith, Sal Stowers, Josh Taylor, Greg Vaughan, Vanessa A. Williams, and Robert Scott Wilson.

I am watching Season 50 Ep 214. This revival of Aiden jennings insults my intelligence. I am not so illusional as to believe crap like that. Looks like they have run out of ideas and do a Dallas trick??????????

Please don’t cancel Days of our lives. I have been watching Days since i was a child around 9 years old. I am in my late 50’s now. I can’t watch it during the day due to work, but i record it every day so i can watch in the evening. I have grown to love the characters on the show and never won’t to miss an episode. Please do not cancel Days — 55 years is HUGE!!! – someone – a team, a village of people has obviously has done something right! Continue to dig for fresh, current chapters – there are enough “Days” and years ahead and real life drama to pull new episodes to revitalize this iconic daytime drama and bring on new viewers. I set my DVR look forward to watching every evening when I settle in for the night. Days has been soooo good for a long time now and really should be reflected in much deserved higher ratings! The level of acting skill is outstanding, everyone truly brings their character to life with very realistic and believable in the moment acting! I sometimes briefly watch Y&R and it just seems that most everyone is halfheartedly acting out the story lines that drag out for so long! Days is fast flowing dramatic and fun show with a side helping of quirkiness. it’s pure escapism! This is the only scripted show that this 54 year old male now watches!
I’ve been watching since day 1 of Days of our lives. Just love it. I call them my second family. IF it goes off the air I will be crushed.

I’ve been watching DOOL since I was 14. Wow that’s 23 years! I would be very sad if it wasn’t renewed. I’ve enjoyed watching the characters and storylines grow over the years! Hopefully enough people will keep watching.

I used to look forward to watching the show every day, could hardly wait to see it! But the past few months I fast forward through a lot of it, as the story lines are so unbelievable that I wonder why I watch at all. The writers must be some desperate to come up with these stories. PEOPLE DO NOT COME BACK FROM THE DEAD! PEOPLE ARE NOT ABLE TO IMPERSONATE SOMEONE SO EXACTLY THAT EVEN THEIR OWN CHILDREN DON’T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! its just not the same anymore and hasn’t been for ages
I am so disappointed with this show. I used to look forward to watching it, but it is getting so foolish with people coming back from the dead, the up in your face gay story line which is not believable the way it is portrayed. You need to get some writers who know how to write believable story lines. Get some real drama going and get off this unbelievable story line. Sad to see a good show slowly failing. Step up and rescue it please.
I love days of our lives I try to do things around the show been watching since I was 12 now I’m 55 and still love this show the best soap ever made. Please please keep this show on for many more years ty
