Hawaii Five-0 is packing it up. Deadline reports the CBS TV show is ending after 10 seasons.
A reboot of the 1960s series, the police procedural follows an elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out crime on the Hawaiian Isles. The cast includes Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Ian Anthony Dale, Meaghan Rath, Beulah Koale, Chi McBride, Katrina Law, Taylor Wily, Dennis Chun, and Kimee Balmilero.
CBS has not released an official reason for ending Hawaii Five-0, but according to Deadline the contracts for the series’ two major stars, Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan, are up at the end of the 10th and current season.
Although Hawaii Five-0 has dipped in the ratings over the past decade, the series is still a hit for CBS. So far, season 10 is averaging a .70 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.026 million viewers.
The two-hour series finale of Hawaii Five-0 will debut on CBS on April 3rd.

So sorry it’s ending. This is CBS most diverse programs. Loved visiting Hawaii every week especially during the winter.
I have enjoyed Hawaii 5 0 from the very first episode tremendously. The cancellation disgusts me on so many levels. Finally a TV show on Friday nights to look forward to seeing and you’ve ruined it.
Whoever made this insane decision should be locked up in a padded room with the key being thrown away. Never to be found and no duplicate.

I am from Denmark – and one of my absolute favorite things during the year is when a new season is released. I often visit Hawaii and that’s because of the show. I just love that show, humor and crime and those beautiful islands- a better combo for a show is never seen before. So incredibly sad. Please don’t stop!
I think they should renew it – it is one of the best shoes around. The cast is excellent.

Over the last 3 years there’s been around 10 of the shows that I’ve liked watching go off the air for one reason or another, and about half of them have been on CBS, and the shows that haven’t gone off the air have lost characters that I’ve liked. What’s going on over there at CBS, are they too cheap to pay their actors??
It was bad enough I had to wait until mid-season to watch Macgyver (who let A great character like Jack go) only to watch Magnum which isn’t as good.

I love this show. Seems like the two food truck workers kind of disappeared. They were smooth and funny. They helped make the show too. If somebody leaves, recast them like they use to or write them off. Sad days. Cbs seems to delete the good shows and keep the not so good shows
Such a great show and part of my Friday night viewing. CBS needs to rethink their decision and give us more seasons!!
I love this show!! Please don’t cancel it. It’s a feel good show. The banter is great between all the characters. It’s rare to have a show like this nowadays. Not to mention the scenery is fantastic. It will be sorely missed……

Pretty sure it was not CBS at all. I remember reading an interview a couple years ago with Alec O’Loughlin (McGarrett) saying that he was getting too old to perform a lot of their action packed scenes. He said he almost ended the show then, but ultimately signed on for two more seasons. This is the end of that contract. 10 years is a long run. I’ve enjoyed the ride, but it wouldn’t be the same without Steve and Danno, who also wants to move on to other projects.
