School’s out forever. The Quad TV show had been cancelled after its second season on BET. The news that there will be no third season comes six days after the April 3rd season two finale, “#TheColorPurple,” which will now serve as The Quad TV series finale.
A BET college drama, The Quad stars Anika Noni Rose, Jake Allyn, Sean Blakemore, Aeja Lee, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Jazz Raycole, Zoe Renee, Peyton ‘Alex’ Smith, Michelle DeFraites, Kevin Savage, Tyshon Freeman, RonReaco Lee, Debbi Morgan, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Jasmine Guy. The story unfolds at Georgia A&M University, one of the nation’s most prestigious HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). As college president, Dr. Eva Fletcher (Rose) has to balance her personal life with her career and the needs of the institution and her students.
The Quad: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of The Quad averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 553,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 28% and 31%, respectively. For comparisons, check out the ratings of other scripted BET TV shows.
The cancellation comes after a string of executive shakeups at the Viacom-owned cabler. In December, Scott M. Mills was tapped to serve as the new president BET, with Debra Lee staying on as chairman and CEO. Prior to that, several top BET programming executives exited the company last March.

Please bring the quad this made my tuesday nights awesome great cast,characters, storyline and crew THEY WERE GOING SOMEWHERE WITH THIS ONE “A Different World” for this generation
Keep The Quad, this is a show that gave us the real on what happens with HBCUs
it also, just as The Cosby Show and A Different World inspired us to go to HBCUs. Continue to inspire and don’t cancel the show.
Please do not cancel this show. Let it at least come back for one last season to clear up and tie the loose ends . So many questions left unanswered. I look forward to seeing another season. I truly enjoyed watching this

I watched every single episode of The Quad and loved the show. I sincerely hope they reconsider and return with a 3rd series.
I am so bummed! I loved this show. I was scared about how they were going to get out of trouble from setting that fire, but cancelled??? Noooo 🙁 I wonder if OWN could pick it up.
Please don’t cancel it!!!! This show is so relevent to what’s going on that it gives a sense of comfort in a way that other shows can’t.
I personally love the show I watch it with my husband. We were looking forward to season three until we found out that the show had been canceled. I think that at least one more season to tie all the loose ends together and just work on making it the best last season would be the best thing. This show has been my favorite show as of now.
The Quad is a great show; Bet, please reconsider the decision and cast it at an appropriate time where people are up..

please reconsider cancelling the Quad. It is an excellent show with outstanding actors. The writers producers, and directors need to be commended for their work on the show. Bet please reconsider these issues are exactly what is happening in society today. Lastly to the fans please flood the network with your support. Maybe we can changed their minds.
Dear fans of the Quad. Go to change.org. There is a petition started by Alonzo Williams. His goal is to get 2001 signatures in hoping that Bet will bring the show back for another season. If you guys are serious you will do it in conjunction with placing comments here. The show needs all the support they can get.
