Come on in. The water’s so fine that the Siren TV show has been renewed for a second season on Freeform, with a start date TBD. There’s more good news. Although the first season was of the “limited” variety with only 10 installments, Freeform has ordered 16 episodes for Siren season two. On top of that, there are still two episodes left in the freshman season. Episode 1.09, “Street Fight,” airs on Thursday, May 17th, and the season one finale, “Aftermath,” aires on May 24th.
A Freeform mystery thriller, the first season of Siren stars Alex Roe, Eline Powell, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun, Rena Owen, Sibongile Mlambo, Chad Rook, Aylya Marzoff, Ron Yuan, Tammy Gillis, Curtis Lum, Anthony Harrison, Hannah Levien, Andrew Jenkins, David Kaye, and Sedale Threatt, Jr. The drama is set in Bristol Cove, a small fishing village which, according to the lore, was once home to mermaids. One day, the enigmatic Ryn (Powell) arrives in town. While Ben (Roe), a marine biologist, finds himself drawn to her, his co-worker, Maddie (Evans-Akingbola), is deeply suspicious of the newcomer. Together, they set out to uncover the truth.
Siren: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Siren is averaging a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 667,000 viewers. Of the 12 scripted Freeform TV shows we’ve been tracking during the 2018-19 television season, Siren ranks fourth in terms of its demo numbers, and rises to second place (behind only the ended Pretty Little Liars), when sorted by total audience size.
Deadline has confirmed that Siren is renewed for season two on Freeform.

I love the show SIREN..it is my number ONE show, tonight is the season finale and I can’t wait for season 2, which I have a long wait for, but very happy that there is a season 2.. love all the actors, Ryn really adds something special to the show, going to be interesting to see what happens between Ben & Ryn but love Maddie I can’t wait for season 2. I hope this show stays on for many seasons.
This Series is GREAT, with just enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. I hope they continue through series after series for a long time to come.
I stumbled upon this one late night while I was looking for something to watch. I was hooked ever since. I’m so happy there’s a 2nd season, not happy to wait 7 plus months to watch it though. Hoping Ryn and Ben end up together at some point.
Just came across Siren last week. Awesome show. I’m was glad to see it got picked up for a second season.

LOVE the unique story line, unusual characters and the local reminds me of the Boston seaside towns! Interesting concept and well acted! Lets hope the series gets picked up for SEVERAL Seasons!
Siren is such a well crafted and brilliantly acted series. Love the unique storytelling involving the mermaids/mermen. Looking for an extremely different and vastly entertaining show? Definitely check out Siren!
Not a bad show although I do think that it has a natural limited run, so a second season should be more than enough to complete the story.

I was keeping my fingers crossed that they would renew it. I love it. What a great idea to havr a storyline involving mermaids. Mer stands for sea and maid stands for marine. I am so-o-o into legendary stories. The show is my muse for my artwork. Thanks you Freeform!
