The Lincoln Lawyer is coming to the small screen. According to The Wrap, CBS has ordered a new TV show from David E. Kelley based on the Michael Connelly novels.
The drama series “centers on Mickey Haller, who is described as ‘an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.'” The novels were adapted as a feature film starring Matthew McConaughey in 2011.
CBS‘ The Lincoln Lawyer series is slated to debut during the 2020-21 season.
David E. Kelley will produce the TV show alongside Michael Connelly and Ross Fineman.

Can’t wait for this series! The books are great, Connelly is an excellent author, and his “Bosch” series on Amazon is superb. A lot of the success will depend on the casting. Titus Welliver is the perfect Bosch. Please be just as selective in casting Mickey Haller!
Both excited and disappointed. Was really hoping for Amazon to pick it up so the characters could show up on Bosch too… (Granted, sort of realized this wasn’t happening after the last season of Bosch.)
Also question how much depth on the cases we will see due to it being network TV.
I hope this new show (yet another court/attorney one) isn’t all Liberal nonsense & they tell it like it really is…. All the shows lately are leaning toward the GIMME IT FOR FREE generation! I’m tired of turning on the tv and seeing non workers GET what those of us who work for a living earned!

I really enjoyed the movie with Matthew McConaughey. Surprising, though, that there was no sequel. Hopefully the series will be well cast and nothing like the Lethal Weapon tv series which died upon making serious changes with one of the main actors, the one chosen was snooze inducing. I do believe the Lincoln Lawyer concept should have been peddled to Netflix though.
