What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix remake of the 1965 Irwin Allen classic TV series, Lost in Space stars Parker Posey, Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Maxwell Jenkins, and Ignacio Serricchio. The sci-fi drama centers on space colonists John (Stephens) and Maureen (Parker) Robinson, their children, Judy (Russell), Penny (Sundwall), and Will (Jenkins), good-hearted smuggler Don West (Serricchio), and stowaway Dr. Smith (Posey). When their spaceship, the Jupiter 2, veers lightyears off course, they crash-land on an unknown planet, where they meet Robot, and the adventure begins.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to release viewership statistics, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Lost in Space for season two. Until a couple of years ago, Netflix wasn’t too quick on the cancellation trigger, but that seems to have changed. Still, flying blind, I predict it will get a second season, because I think the first installment will draw a lot of people, based on the title recognition. Since that’s just speculation, however, I will keep an eye on press releases and the trades and update this page with breaking developments. I love sci-fi adventure films – TV, Ster trek etc. so this was right down my alley, I just hope that they elaborate/expand more on the robots origins, agenda, back story home world etc as I think that will be a great addition to the story.
Loved season 1. Once I started watching I couldn’t stop. Can’t wait for season 2. I am completely hooked

It is refreshing to see a family friendly sci-fi show that I can enjoy with my child. I hope to see many more seasons to come

I like it. Having been 11 in 1965, Lost in Space was the highlight of my week until they moved it to Wednesday nights at 7 PM — Scout meeting night. Still, I’m getting a kick out of this take on the Jupiter mission and Lost in Space. I hope they renew.
The character of Maureen Robinson initially appeared overbearing in her efforts to assert dominance over John and the girls, but a ‘mid-season’ course correction did the trick. Very good TV otherwise.

My husband’s and I binged watched it in 2 days! We really enjoyed it! It was suspenseful, funny, seious and an actual enjoyable family series. Can’t wait to watch it over!

Great show, awesome special effects. As with any show, there are growing pains, but this can become really great. Even game of thrones had grow pains (dark of hair, dark of hair, dark of hair, golden hair)
you must renew it for season 2 ,I love this show it was great,allways had my attention and and the special effects were really good for this show ,I hope it goes on for several seasons at least.it was great to finally find some thing worth watching ,so much garbage on tv now ,so PLEASE KEEP THIS ONE GOING.
Either cancel the show or get rid of Dr Smith. The character is horrible. I love villains but this one drags down the show. #KilldrSmih. Spread the hashtag

Smith HAS to be evil and conniving. I like Parker Posey. She is all things dispicable, in a likable sort of way
Never, I really want season 2 to be commission if anything happened to the Robinson left in the dark by a wormhole.
I really hope season 2 is on board. A very good mix of CGI, story line and character development. Hey, it’s Sci-Fi, realists should look elsewhere for their thrills’n chills … just say’n

Should be cancelled. The robot was cool but the story line is so stupid and predictable it’s not even funny and another thing it has too much chaos at one time.
I don’t get why YOU want it cancelled! Just don’t watch it & let the rest of us that liked it enjoy the series as it develops
I want it cancelled because I like the original series and this show is way off the original store line. How the hell can you like a show that is predictable? I dont want predictability I want a show that keeps me on the tip of my seat. I don’t want to already know whats going to happen before it happens.
You are contradicting yourself, you say you don’t want predictability YET you’re complaining its way off the original story line. Surely if it was like the original it WOULD be predictable.
I suggest you stick to watching the orig series
the differences are what sets it apart. if it was same, no one would like it!
Where were you in 1965. It’s supposed to be sappy and a little stupid. You lose yourself in it. You gotta be 11 and pretend you are Will Robinson. Every pre-teen’s fantasy from when I grew up.
