Does the first season of the Rise TV show on NBC lift your spirits? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Rise is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Rise season one episodes here.
An NBC high school drama, Rise stars Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli’i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Amy Forsyth, Casey W. Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett, and Shirley Rumier. The series centers on Lou Mazzuchelli (Radnor), who is the fictional analogue to Lou Volpe in the Michael Sokolov book, Drama High. Although he is committed to his students at Stanton High School, Lou knows he needs to shake things up, in order to rekindle his passion for teaching. To that end, he petitions to direct the school’s theater program, but soon realizes he signed up for a whole lot more than he originally expected. Soon though, the faculty, student body, and even the town residents find themselves caught up in the new spirit at the school.

I loved this show. Please keep this show on for another season. The cast were simply WONDERFUL. NBC is putting on great shows like This Is Us and now Rise. Keep up the good work. I will continue to watch RISE for every season that it will be on. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL.
Rise is one of the best TV shows I have seen in a very long time!!! I need to see more. I loved how it challenged peoples thoughts or beliefs. I fell that it made me think and realize so much. The episodes made me laugh cry and always wanting more. I am a shift worker and I sought out ways to see this show. Please do not cancel this. It is so important to open peoples minds and hearts and realize that these issues, feeling actions are all real! I can only hope and pray that Rise comes back… Read more »
Katrina, I totally agree with you about Rise. I could not wait to watch it each week and I love all of the issues that the show covers. I also loved how the show challenged the adult and also the students to stand up to things that are difficult even when authority has difficulty with doing what is right. At the end of each such, I just wanted more and more. Please NBC do not cancel this show. There are so many issues in the show that could still be covered. RISE SHOULD BE BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON.
Rise is one of the best tv show in years & rivals This Is Us. Why is it that the best tv shows are cancelled and we have to have more shows like Big Bang Theory or MacGyver, neither of which are any good.

One of THE very BEST shows I have ever watched. The cast were amazing and the storylines so switched on to life today. We watched this as a family and couldn’t wait from week to week to watch the next episode of this fantastic series. The writers, cast, crew, musicians, everyone who worked on this show — ALL deserve EMMYs – NOT cancellation!!

NBC appears to be consistently short-sighted with their programming this Season. RISE is a unique and 21st century panorama of current social issues in America. The actors are extraordinary and clearly are professionals in their craft. I’ve grown to care about each and every character which is a rare experience. As always, I wonder why Network Executives don’t contact the public before making their final verdict of lowering the curtain on superior entertainment. This Viewer appreciates Networks that give quality programs versus colorless narratives as usual….

RISE was, and will be remembered as one of those extremely well crafted series with heart. I drooped a couple of tears for their OPENING NIGHT episode. How could something as rarely excellent as RISE lose (yeah, small numbers, I get it) when the subjects it addresses hit so many families?
NBC needs to step back from their decision and think.

this is a magnificent show…it deserves a second season…..students were amazing and so so talented ……and all the actors just perfect for the casting…please don’t cancel……..these performances and script are worthy of an EMMY……LOVED EVERY EPISODE OF THIS SHOW!!!
