Set in New York in the 1970s, Vinyl revolves around the music business of that era — a time of sex and drugs, at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop. The large cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Juno Temple, Jack Quaid, James Jagger, and Paul Ben-Victor.

I think the show should continue I enjoyed watching it, everyone I know that has watched it also liked it. I want to see the new episodes continue to be aired!! If you don’t like it don’t watch it.
The show is drab, skippy, and tries way too hard to make it work. It’s such a waste of the talent of Bobby cannevelle or whatever his name is. Please cancel this show! I know you you got big names producing it, but it sucks! Sucks hard!
It could be very compelling if they could lower the heat a bit ; the show always seems to be on the verge of boiling over and there is either a verbal argument or a physical fight every several minutes. Just to make sure you’re paying attention? The subject matter alone is interesting enough (or should be) without the hysteria and chaos.
Even though it’s been a slow start to the plot, as a person who lived the 70’s I love the show. I am very hopeful that it returns next season. The acting was superb as was the music. I just wanted to give my opinion as a normal person (not a critic) I love this show

Richie is so unlikeable the show is hard to watch a bunch of the time. Especially after it was revealed how he tricked his partner into thinking he lost the company’s money when it was Richie all along. But, the season finale was the best one yet. It has the drugs and rock ‘n roll, but needs a lot more sex. Right now just a flash here and there.

Took A bit of getting into, but now I’m hooked; some of Richie’s actions make me cringe, which means the show is creating an emotional attachment. Hope it is around long enough to develop more depth, the actors are really good.
Wrong choice for lead actor
what a lousy show, i tried and tried. it’s utterly pointless. he’s always high and being stupid. sub plots wander in and out for unknown reasons. it’s the worst thing i’ve ever seen and with all the names behind it i’m at a loss as to why it’s so bad.
I totally agree with you. I was SO prepared to like this, but I don’t like too many of the characters. The plot seems the same, over and over.
My husband, brother and I LOVE this show, can’t get enough of it. The main character Richie is Great, I bet he gets an award, at least I think he deserves one. Loved him as the suave man he was before getting back on drugs (handsome and sexy). And Love him as the druggie, especially his walk as he struts into a room. All the actors are good at playing their characters.
I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t like watching Vinyl. I hope its renewed for 2nd Season.

Vinyl is one of the worst tv shows i´ve ever watched it´s boring and its two main characters have no chemistry i stopped watching after episode 2
Devoid of the real essence that made that Era of music and clubbing truly exciting and revolutionary, Vinyl is a lackluster attempt of telling that story. I watched the first episode only, and disappointingly will not return.
I’m trying to like this show, but it gets harder every week.
Terrible show, worse ratings!! Bet it gets unrenewed/cancelled the way The Brink did!!!!
