Do you watch MacGyver? The CBS TV series is gearing up for its season one finale, which airs tonight, April 14th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show has already been renewed for a second season, but will you watch?
A reboot of the classic ’80s show, the action drama centers on a twenty-something adventurer named Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till) who creates a secret organization within the US government. The cast also includes George Eads, Sandrine Holt, Tristin Mays, and Justin Hires.
Recently, star Tristin Mays teased the upcoming season finale to The Wrap. In the interview, she revealed the finale provides a “wake up call” for her character that may influence her future in season two:
I think that she needs to kind of be ready for what’s to come. This season finale gives her a wake up call … For her future, some more training, maybe some weapons.
My character gets very bloody. And you’ll have to watch the show to find out exactly what that means.”
Though the series has already been renewed, the ratings have been dropping over the course of the season. In late March, the program hit a series low with a 0.9 demo rating and 6.56 million viewers. Clearly, some people have stopped watching MacGyver. Are you one of them?

Honestly, I didn’t care for the first MacGyver at all but decided to give this one a chance and I’m glad I did. It was a little slow at first but it eventually drew me in as a fan of the whole ensemble of characters and as it progresses through character changes it just gets better. Keep up the great work! Please Renew!!!

Will this be the next Madam Secretary, with ratings below a 1.0 in its second season(MS took 3 seasons to go below a 1.0)? Next season should be it. The ratings will be too embarrassing for CBS to bring it back for a season three.
I love this show, it’s got action and a little comedy. it’s a great Friday show!
I was not impressed in the beginning, but it grew on me and now I enjoy it very much. Ironically, I didn’t like the original at all.
I love the show ,but he needs more things to do like in the other show . He is like a side kick to Jack. He needs more lead in the role.
I watch the old series with Richard Dean Anderson and the new one. I like both of them, but the new one could stand to have more moral dilemmas and fixing them. Like the episode about eh eagles and saving the eagle eggs. There was some violence, but still the outcome was saving the eagle and the eggs/babies. Maybe society needs to realize wildlife isn’t for killing all of the time.
Original MacGyver he was by himself, the new one is with other people. I hope Richard Dean Anderson comes back as his dad in season 2. I like both of them and hope have more seasons. I be surprise Jack Dalton comes back and fake his death.

I loved the original and love this remake. Keep it coming. It really rounds out my Friday night TV watching.
I just couldn’t get into it, even though i loved the original. I gave up roughly 4 or 5 episodes, into season 1.
