We have some bad, but not unexpected, news. Syfy has cancelled its Superstition TV show after just one season. The cancellation had been expected since December of last year, when Syfy moved the drama series out of its primetime slot to Thursdays at 11:00pm. Robinne Lee, who starred as Bea Hastings, confirmed the Superstition cancellation on her verified Twitter account. Check it out, below.
A Syfy horror drama, Superstition also stars Mario Van Peebles, W. Earl Brown, Demetria McKinney, Diamond Dallas Page, Brad James, Morgana Van Peebles, T.C. Carter, and Tatiana Lia Zappardino.
The supernatural series centers on the Hastings family of La Rochelle, Georgia. They happen to own the only funeral home and cemetery in town. Because of unexplained deaths due to demonic activity, the family also offers “afterlife care.” In addition to their arsenal of esoteric weapons, the Hastings employ extraordinary strength, alchemy, and their expertise in ancient lore and the occult, to keep the “Infernal problem” at bay, in this “landing patch” of a town.

Well it’s a shame it’s cancelled. Seems to me Syfy didn’t want it to succeed. I never saw a promo and it was on late midweek. That being said I loved it. I love the characters, the actors who played them and the stories. I want it back big big. Netflix come on and rescue Superstition.
I liked the show, I only wished they’d give it another shot maybe on a different network.
This is SYFY’s loss if they choose not to renew Superstition for a second season, it’s disappointing that I got into this only to find out the show is done when it only just began.
I really enjoyed this tv show and was anxiously awaiting season 2. Hopefully another network will pick this show up.

This was a really good show. The problem is there aren’t any commercials so people don’t know that it actually exist. SyFy needs to blame themselves for not putting this show out there and capturing more viewers. People like shows they can rely on season after season. Cancelling this show without giving it a chance is a complete mistake.

I just finished the first season on Netflix. I really enjoyed it. It should be given a second season. It was so promising and had so much left in it.
Syfy – stop cancelling shows after 1 season! You do not give any shows a chance.. i didnt get into Criminal minds till season 4, Law & Order SVU till season 8… the public has given up getting into new shows cos they are always cancelled by YOU GUYS! Then you cancel shows cos no one is watching!! I totally agree, they are not giving the shows an opportunity to be great, I just watched this yesterday and was hoping for a continuation. If they continue like this then no one will continue to look at their shows.
There were so many dimensions to Superstition, Netflix please adopt the show!

My husband and I really liked this show! Really bummed about no season 2.. Would love to see it brought back! Sfy cancels every show we liked.
I think the reason they cancelled this series because of few viewers. For me this series is not as good as Supernaturals By Sam and Dean. Sorry Guys! better luck next series….
