What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the TNT cable channel, Will stars Laurie Davidson as William Shakespeare. The cast also includes Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mattias Inwood, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. At just 24 years of age, with no social or political advantages, Shakespeare is willing to risk everything in pursuit of his dreams. He dives headlong into the fast and treacherous world of Elizabethan theater, trying to make it as a writer.

Telly’s Take
Will debuted with weak numbers for a TNT TV series and the ratings haven’t gotten better for this young Shakespeare series. It’s TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series so, unless there’s some special financial arrangement, I suspect that Will will be cancelled and not renewed for a second season. Was very sorry this was cancelled. I had subscribed to TNT only for that will never do so again. Will was so creative, fun, relevant, and intelligent. It’s too bad that the networks only care about money.
Why do they always cancel shows with a quality storyline and even the slightest bit of historical value? This show was great. Well cast and the imagery was beautiful. Yet TNT/USA will make gruesome shows about criminals, drug rings, and violent murder without a second thought. It’s ridiculous. I hope another studio picks this up.

Will need to return to TV!!!! It is one of the best shows I have ever watched!!! Please bring it back!!! The viewers can’t be left with a cliff hanger of an ending because we have to know what happens.
NO!!!!!!I am so upset to hear they cancelled such a phenomenal show! Why? It was so bright & brilliant with superb acting , beautiful costumes and interesting, fun music . I Loved it! Will himself was perfect for the part as were all the actors. Will was by far one of my favorite series I have seen to date. It really is disappointing to see it was cancelled and I hope someone with some brains will pick this up and do season 2. There are more wonderful stories to tell and we want to see them.
This is not right. the show had wonderful characters and wonderful actors to play them. the story was exiting and the parts of the plays they did were amazing to watch. I didn’t hear about this till it had started and when I found it on streaming I binge watched the first five. there is so much more story to tell, so many more Shakespeare plays they haven’t included yet so much potential for this show to grow. the cancellation is a tragedy and I will be praying for a reprieve.
I’ve been re-watching the season online, and wanted to know how much longer I had to wait to find out what happens next. Very disappointed to see it’s been cancelled! One of the serious problems was the day/time the show was aired. It was up against numerous other shows that already had strong viewership, and some other network shows that have done very well.
