What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix television network, Lost in Space is a remake of the 1965 Irwin Allen classic TV series and stars Parker Posey, Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Maxwell Jenkins, Ignacio Serricchio, Brian Steele, and Sibongile Mlambo. The sci-fi drama centers on space colonists John (Stephens) and Maureen (Parker) Robinson, their children, Judy (Russell), Penny (Sundwall), and Will (Jenkins), good-hearted smuggler Don West (Serricchio), and stowaway Dr. Smith (Posey). When their Jupiter 2 spaceship veers lightyears off course, they crash-land on an unknown planet. Surrounded by hidden dangers, they meet Robot (Steele) and fight against all odds to survive and escape.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Lost in Space for season three. Since Netflix isn’t ad-supported, it can take a chance on series it believes in. However, sooner or later it comes down to production costs, versus viewership numbers. Lost in Space is one of their high-profile series but it’s concerning that there was a 20-month gap between seasons one and two. I’m still leaning toward a renewal but wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled instead. Generally speaking, Netflix TV shows which are going to be renewed are usually picked up within a month or so of a season premiere. Excellent story great graphics and actually good acting
Grew up with old Lost In Space. New one is great for family, great graphics. ONLY series ever my husband has watched with me in it’s entirety. Don’t leave us hanging. Give us a season 3 at least to tie up loose ends. Always have loved robot even Dr Smith & in new series Don West is very appealing
Would love to see it renewed hate to be left hanging. I watched the original many, many years ago, so it took me couple of episodes to stop watching for robot to come out arms flapping yelling danger, danger Will. But I really enjoy the new one now. Bring it back please.
Easily Netflix’s best series ever. Acting, writing, sfx are the best. I usually don’t care for sci fi, but this series is so much more. The actors do such a great job of creating a believable, real family. This is so much better than the stupid network fare. Give the show and actors Emmys! Renew for at least a decade!
Always loved the old series as a youngster so the new series was great. With all the bad news in the world renew the series and let’s keep some good honest light hearted entertainment.

Lost in space is one of the better programs I have ever scene. Great family message and quality programming. Wonderful special effects. Why would they even think of cancelling this?

I’ve really enjoyed both seasons. I binge-watched both seasons right when they came out. There appears to be quite a positive following for the show and definitely hope it’s renewed again for a third season. Let’s cross our fingers. 🙂
I hope they renew. It’s a cliff hanger from season 2. The plot is great, the robot is getting more and more human, character development is awesome, and I love the adventure aspect. Again, I hope they renew.
