What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Mom centers on now-sober, single mother Christy (Anna Faris) and her mother Bonnie (Allison Janney) who is also in recovery. While Christy still considers Bonnie to be the root of her problems, she allows her mother to test her daily and keep her honest, as she pursues her dream of a legal career. Meanwhile, Bonnie is learning how to have a healthy romantic relationship and still wonders what she’ll be when she grows up. Together, and with the help of AA, these women spot one another along the road to recovery. Jaime Pressly, Matt Jones, Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Mimi Kennedy, Beth Hall, and William Fichtner also star.
Season Four Ratings
Mom season four averaged a 1.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.53 million viewers. Compared to season three, the sitcom is down by 15% in the demo and down by 5% in terms of average total audience size. Find out how Mom stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

Telly’s Take
While the ratings have dropped from season to season, that’s true of most TV shows. Overall, Mom is still a fairly solid CBS TV series. Mom is generally in the top half of the network’s shows in the important 18-49 year old viewer demographic. If it maintains these numbers for the remainder of season four, it seems likely Mom will be renewed for a fifth season. 3/23 update: CBS has renewed Mom.

I think it is one of the worst shows ever. It is boring, seems to be all about sex drugs and booze. Actually I have never watched a full show but when I have tuned in it seems to be the same old story line and topics every time. I can not believe it has lasted this many years. Please take it off the air!!
LOVE this show!! It has elements of everyday life, serious, sad, happy, funny, arguing, struggling to pay your bills, struggles at work, making up, staying together and more of what everyday life everyone’s life has. It also has what most of the comedy shows of today do NOT have and that is ”CLEAN, FUNNY comedy”! Every actress on there and the actors as well, are FUNNY!! Not the ‘tee hee” kind, the ”HA HA HA HA HA LOL LOL LOL” kind. There is no vulgar language, no nudity, just plain life and it is fantastic and should be kept on… Read more »
it is a huge responsibility for a network to take on the subject of addiction but this show does it in the perfect way. My sister is an alcoholic going through the program in rehab right now and it has helped her AND me immensely to watch and laugh at things that could be otherwise hurtful or demeaning. They do a superb job and I pray they will be able to find a way to allow it to continue. In this day and age it is so important to try to help however we can and this show helps in… Read more »

I Love this show. Full of true to life situations that are more prevelant today thangever before. As well as, always a great laugh with the chemistry between Bonnie and Christie. Mother and daughter No holding back when they let the feelings of the past come out. The whole cast has a great connection. I truly hope it continues for many yrars to come. I love this show. I am a late comer to the show and have been binge watching. I think Allison Janney is a great actress! Just awesome!
I just LOVE that show and all the actors are so good and just too funny. If I am in a bad mood or upset I start watching it and instantly laughing and in better mood. Keep it going!! XOXO

I would be very sad if they cancelled Mom. The one thing I’m missing from the shows are the three guys in the restaurant. I really enjoyed the episodes when Christie was working in the restaurant with these three guys.
