Episode 09-02: Monday, 9/26/11
Another stellar ratings night for CBS and this venerable sitcom, which attracted a 7.4 in the demo and 20.52 million viewers. Kutcher and Cryer and company were down by 31% in the demo episode-to-episode but that’s still an incredible performance.
Season average: 9.1 in the demo and 24.63 million.

Episode 09-01: Monday, 9/19/11
There was a very high amount of anticipation surrounding the sitcom’s return and CBS was surely not disappointed by the ratings. Ashton Kutcher’s first episode attracted a whopping 10.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 28.74 million viewers. This was easily the show’s biggest performance to date and the event benefited the network’s entire Monday line-up. We don’t know how the new version of Men will compare to the old but it certainly got a good sampling.

Reference point: The 2010-11 season averaged a 4.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 14.22 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Come on people!!!! this show is getting sad, on a real. Check this, last night it was still all about charlie. What charlie was like, you know his drinking , women and all. This is like ep. 9 and i think the tall jesus of the show aint gat nothing to act on. The writers made a big bo bo by letting charlie’s charter go. Now can they go one ep. without refering to him? Seems like they are the ones who still need some sheen in them.

I just recently started to watch it every now and then when it came to FX and it’s funny although I didn’t think it was anything like it was but Sheen made the show. And while the supporting cast is good, Kutcher made it awkward. I haven’t seen another episode this season since the premiere because I was curious to see what happened.

I really enjoyed Charlie Sheen in the show like everyone else, but at this point you posters are crazy if you think the show is failing and needs to be cancelled. It has huge numbers after six episodes, and there is no way that this show is going away for a long time. With Kutcher just added to the show, I expect him and the rest of the cast to ride this gravy train for at least another five years.

Cancel The Show If you won’t bring Charlie back.. You lost the heart of the show! If I wanted to watch the 70’s show, I’d turn it on and watch Kelso there! But LOOK he is here in 2011 playing Walden (Kelso) but just rich. He is STILL stupid as ever!! On FB there is a Petition to bring back Charlie. Petition: For Charlie Sheen Petition for Return to 2.5 Men…

This show has lost half it’s audience from the first showing 6 weeks ago. It isn’t funny anymore but, don’t blame Kutcher. It wasn’t funny starting 3 years ago. Seiously need an influx of other characters as they had in the beginning.

Cancel the show. You ruined the show by putting Ashton on there. Only one silly one is enough and that was Alan who was very good with the part. Ashton is plain stupid and the show is now NOT funny. Ashton is making as much of an ass of himself outside the show as Charlie did, but at least Charlie was honest about it. You’ve positive lost me as a watcher and I use to love and record the show so I didn’t miss any episodes. No more. I’m done. Or bring Charlie back.

AK blows! Alan can’t carry the show. Berta has lost her wit. Little seen of Jake. Virtually nothing of Herb & Judith & Alan’s Mother. The supporting cast were an integral part of the show. Cutting their screen time is a fatal mistake. Naked & maturbation jokes are puerile. Either free Charlie from the English dungeon where Rose is holding him…or…put this puppy out of its misery.

I got tired of the show middle of last season. Just wasnt working for me any more. Charlie became too mean and alan too pathetic. I watched the new season to see how it would change and it doesnt work for me. Ashton seems like he is phoning in his performance. No effort, just showing up and doing what he needs to do. Character could have been interesting in his own show, but feels out of place here. Alan more pathetic than ever, now just grating on me. Dont like Courtnee Thorn Smith role at all. I’m done with this… Read more »

Cancel it! Take it out of its misery! Ashton Kutcher singlehandedly killed it! It’s like the other cast members are lost, with Cryer super-stammering, it’s way too much stammering; we hardly see the Jake character; Berta has become a dummy. Good going!

The show is getting progressively worse. I think at some point, unless the writing gets better, this show will be cancelled at the end of the season.

Yes i agree Charlie sheen made the show very much ,& the writers made a big mistake by killing off his character. i was thinking instead of killing off Charlie sheen(Harper) they should of just said Charlie Ran away with Rose then they could have put “JOHN Stamos” (the guy looking at buying charlies home) in the main Role as the Harpers step brother or first cousin because Evelyn Harper does get around right . And then they could of made Stamos a ‘Scum-bag’ who owns a bunch of strip clubs/Cabarets in Malibu that would give an excuse for the… Read more »
