Sadly, the Visitors aren’t among us any longer. After two short seasons, ABC has cancelled their V TV series.
A reimagining of the original V, this series tells the tale of what happens when an advanced alien race arrives of Earth professing their desire to help mankind. Fortunately, not everyone trusts them. The second season features the talents of Charles Mesure, Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Joel Gretsch, Laura Vandervoort, Logan Huffman, Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, and Scott Wolf.
For season one, V ended up averaging a 2.25 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic and 5.7 million average viewers. It was “on the bubble” but ended up being renewed for a 13 episode second season. The network was hoping that the show would catch on and the ratings would improve.

ABC later reduced the episode order to just 10 installments and debuted them mid-season. Unfortunately, ABC’s gamble didn’t pay off. Season two of V ended up averaging only a 1.9 in the demo and 5.49 million viewers.
Though the network and producers maintained that the show was still in contention for next season, it was clear that there would only be a third season of V if ABC was willing to gamble once again. In the end, they weren’t.
ABC confirmed today that V has been cancelled after two seasons and 22 episodes. The series finale aired on March 15th and, unfortunately, there were lots of unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will someday share what they had in mind for season three.
What do you think? Are you sad that V won’t be returning next season? Why do you think the series didn’t catch on?

they need to make a 2 hour movie finale to to tie up all the loose ends and properly close it out.

I Watch this **** on 2 days why ende it
Cancelling V after 2 seasons was a big mistake. I also took notice that many other shows were cancelled around the same time! Over 100 shows were cancelled that year.
Yea that makes me wonder why, I get so into it then bam it’s been cancelled…….
Because they aren’t to night! They don’t realize the necessity of promoting it for a couple months.. So everyone has a chance to see that their bringing back a good show!
For Gods Sake… ABC bring back the damn V S3. What’s the point in having a poll, that you don’t respect the outcome of? STUPID
I agree with you, Freeman
I wish it will continue I loved to watch it great series
I love the show, how come they stop??? I wanna protest to continue season 3!!!! At least end it on season 3 if they can’t continue with it…tsk
I loved this show was really looking forward for it to continue, I suppose its what happens when there are so many programmers to watch during the same time V was aired, pity they didn’t continue, I recon more viewers would have caught on, could anyone convince the producers and directors to return please. I’ve been waiting since it went of air, hoping that it wasn’t cancelled, inquired with google a while back and just out of curiosity decided to google again and this is where I ended up. Very sad, it just needed a little bit more time 🙁
Not a huge error, just the name spelled in a different language maybe. Just watched the 2 seasons of “V” over the span of 3 days, it’s regrettable it had to be cancelled. I felt the same on “In Treatment” or Stargate “U”, shows with immense potential. But the axe doesn’t care for that, just for last seasons audiences. Sad but true, everything is regulated solely by money instead of also brains and a touch of feelings, as our human decisions system should be and therefor you got this results. *spoiler alert* I would have really liked to see how… Read more »
I loved this show, I think a lot of people did. It may have had some areas to tweak but overall it did justice to the original series. Please rethink doing Season 3 of V. It is so sad that whenever there is a Great TV Show that a family can watch together, it gets canceled. Please stop this cycle, it is really ridiculous. Thanks in advance for hearing my Point of View.

Uter crap compared to the original. What a load of ****. The alians where crap, the first cell was a really stupid concept. There voices where normal unlike the original where they had a slightly different voice to humans. It could have been good but they screwed it. Being a big fan of the original i lost interest half way through the 1st season and did not return for the second.
I loved this series. Yes it was not perfect, but it could have been in time and there’s only scifi junk on TV these days. Please bring it back and don’t use so much CGI on the reptiles. Also get Morena Baccarin to stop wearing high heels! Reptiles don’t wear high heels
I loved this story line until the last 15 minutes of season 2. You left us with no hope and “lies and deception” won out over “truth and love.” I cry “foul!” Terribly unfair and a sucker punch to all the V fans. At least the original resolved. Give us at least one more episode that exposes Anna as the liar and murderous queen she is and save our world. But, alas, I think by now you have lost many once upon a time fans.
