Last week, CBS announced the cancellation of celebrity reality show Armed & Famous and that it would be pulled immediately from the Wednesday night schedule. There’s a possibility that the unaired episodes might see the light of day in the Summer months. Well, it turns out fans of the show won’t have to wait that long.
Cable network VH1 has announced that they will be airing Armed & Famous, starting this Saturday, February 3rd. They’ll be broadcasting a five-hour marathon, beginning with the first four episodes at 5pm. Episode number five, not previously seen on CBS, will air at 9pm. They’ll be rerun on February 7th starting at noon. What will happen after that is up in the air.
Seven episodes of Armed & Famous were originally slated to be produced and, when CBS pulled the plug, five had been finished. It’s unknown right now when or if the final two episodes will be completed. A VH1 spokesman said, “If the producers deliver to us the sixth and seventh episodes of the show, then we will air them. As of now, it’s unclear whether they are finishing them or not.”
For its part, CBS considers the series “on hiatus” though there are no plans to produce additional episodes and the series doesn’t have any set date to return. We’ll keep you posted if we hear more so stay tuned!
What’s VH1? I wish I could see the show. When it was on CBS, I thought it was awesome. Especially Estrada and Trish. They were the best.
That’s because it’s Feb 3rd not the 2nd.
This really, really sucks. I don’t have VH1 and I am really pissed that they took the show off the air. I think the guy that posted the last comment is right on. What about criminal minds or without a trace and cold case. I personally think that Armed and Famous is much more realistic then the other TV shows.
I SALUTE VH1 AND THE PRODUCERS OF ARMED AND FAMOUS. AS A VETERAN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER THERES BEEN TOO MANY TIMES THAT WE HAVE SEEN FAMOUS PEOPLE LIKE MONTEL WILLIAMS AND OTHERS DEGRADE LAW ENFORCEMNT WHEN THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE GO THROUGH ON A REGULAR BASIS. AT LEAST NOW THERE ARE CELEBERTIES THAT FULLY UNDERSTAND THE DANGERS AND SADNESS THAT COME WITH THE JOB. GOOD JOB VH1
Muncie is my first hometown, and though we moved to Arkansas when I was 6, a lot of my family still lives there. It’s fun to watch A&F and recognize where they are and the streets they are rushing down or to. I was very disappointed to find out that A&F was cancelled, and delighted to hear that they would be airing on VH1 Saturday. I set my satellite guide to auto tune my TV at 4:00 so I wouldn’t miss it……..but it never aired. What happened? I was here…I checked the programming and saw that The White Rapper was… Read more »
I love this show very much. I wish the bring it back very soon.
Ya..the 2nd is Friday…the article said the 3rd!
all two weeks hu?
I love this show!! I can’t believe they took it off the air! I am so glad that VH1 picked it back up! U ROCK VH1!
I work in law enforcement and although I personally found the show amusing, it just makes people think they understand law enforcement because the scene it on tv.
Thank you VH1 for picking up the cancelled show Armed & Famous from CBS. Our whole family watches the show every week and were shocked and very disappointed that CBS would cancel the. What are they thinking?? You have more people now watching VH1 instead of a CBS time slot. Their loss!
As a retired 34 year law enforcement veteran, I thought the show was an embarrassment although Erik Estrada did a pretty good job despite having no real experience in the profession. They all made the mistake rookies usually make-taking everything personally.
Thank God! But,I think Feburary 2nd is a Friday, not a Saturday. Well,I’ll check VH1.com for more news about this interesting topic. And,also,it’s nice that we’ll get to see the episode that was supposed to air tomorrow but is now pulled from the air and brought onto VH1.
