Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I think there are no more watchable shows on television these days, especially for the male demographic who remember when men weren’t depicted as weakling, incompetent serfs to the female/black/whatever ‘minority’ who happened to be the apple of the media’s eye that season. These shows SUCK! Women know everything. Men should be washing dishes and vacuuming the house while their incredibly competent “Significant other” (Notice how marriage is marginalized, unless miscegenation or homosexuality are factored into the union?…) is out running major corporations and solving complex crimes, while they’re not training fighter pilots for tactical superiority. It’s absolutely ridiculous! Yes,… Read more »
NBC blows! Believe and Crisis are the only two shows I DVR just in case. They put them up against two well established shows and expect miracles I guess. Maybe if they moved them to another night they would do better. Either way, like I said, NBC BLOWS!
I was stunned and VERY angry to hear that “Believe” was cancelled! This show has a tremendously interesting premise, great acting, isn’t filled with gratuitous “you-name-it”, and really was uplifting in many ways. I was never reluctant to watch this show with my family, unlike so many other shows on this network.
I will think twice about watching NBC programming after they made the very serious error in judgment to cancel this show. So sad …
NBC is going to lose a lot of viewers canceling yet another great show. Believe is one show my husband and I actually watch together. We will now be watching other channels and probably in different rooms. NBC you have definitely lost your mind, I don’t know who you are surveying but there are a lot of people who are watching.
NBC… please reconsider cancelling Believe. It is a great show with an intriguing premise and strong acting. There really is nothing like this show on TV. Give it another shot in a different time slot!!!
Why would u cancel a great show maybe u should move it to a other night Wednesday or Thursday I never watch the show on those days cuz the suck ……..I would watch believe 4 sure I love it so much I watch it the following day cuz sunday I find myself out on the town going to dinner ……if it was move on week days I bet u would get great rating…..
Come on NBC!!!! Reconsider Believe! It is a great show with tons of promise and great acting. Give this show another chance. Please!!!!
No Surprise Here!! All the Great shows get cancelled..there is no other show on TV right now like this one..Very unusual show!!!!!n Please just change the schedule
Sad it was a really good show
This show was very magical and breathtaking and was ready to purchase the series.
I am very heartbroken and disappointed with this “cancellation” on the show Believe. This became my favorite show that I could look forward to watching. I also had the series taped so I could watch it over whenever I felt like.
I adored Bo and Tate characters on the show and I’ll be very disappointed with NBC if they don’t put this show back on the air on a different day!
My family looked forward to watching this show as soon as Once upon a Time is over, we switch over and watched this show. It is, like others have said, a series that is based on hope and goodness, with good winning.
Very disappointed in you NBC! Believe was a very good show. Great storyline! but I guess shows that are wholesome without a lot of sexual innuendo are set up to fail!
I found a descent program to relax to and now it is being cancelled…PLEASE do not cancel this show… I am so sick of all the rediculous shows out there. Please bring back Believe…
It a pity that Believe is being cancelled. That show is so pure, innocent and clean complete family viewing. I’m from Trinidad and I look forward to this show every Sunday. Now what am I supposed to watch? Vampires????
Well written, a talented cast, Believe was my kind of show. Change the time/day, call the syfy channel, but save Believe!
