Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I never comment on line about anything BUT, Believe was an excellent show which reflected strong moral convictions that are direly lacking in real life today. We MUST have better shows such as Believe to give families an alternative to the horrible, immoral, and violent shows that have become the norm on prime time TV. Please reconsider continuing the program another season.
Very disappointed in NBC’s decision to cancel this show. Too bad you did not move it to another time slot to see if ratings improved. The writers depicted such beautiful story lines weaved into each episode. I watched every show AND if I missed it’s air date, I watched it online. Many I’ve spoken to had nothing but positive feedback. Wishing this decision is reconsidered. Primetime TV is suffering.
I watched every episode, and thought the program was excellent! Networks only care about the bottom line these days, and they don’t give series a chance. In today’s arena “All In the Family” and “MASH” would never have made it since they started out with low ratings.
Why do we have so many of the better shows taken away from us, especially the ones involving family ties and their relationships. Also those that show children being sweet and nice, not using profanity or rudeness. When I started watching this show, I had a feeling something would be done to cancel it, like changing nights, placing it on one that shows so many others at the same time. Come on, don’t get rid of it!!! Give it a longer chance. I don’t see some of the other more evil shows being removed. Can we have some calm in… Read more »
Bring it back! Its right up there with voice, dancing w stars and AI!
I really enjoyed this series too bad it’s been canceled.
Stop cancelling good shows. y do they not look at the shows that these new shows are competing with. nbc will never have a show that does well sunday at 8. Hbo and the movie channels are at the top of there game right now. any other time slot this show would be number one. idiots.
Come on!!!! Why!!! Make a movie then beause i love all the actors and the plot. Its a wonderful show and the story has just begun. I feel robbed and im so sorry to the cast and crew to have to call it quits. I think that completly SUCKS!!!!
Why is it that you have a great show like Belive and now you are canceling with out trying a new time slot. I do not think it is fare to run opposet of Reserecton. Both ate very good shows. I do think if you would try a new time slot it could be one of the better shows you have on your network.
Thank you.
Stop cancelling good shows
I’m completely upset. I have not missed an episode. I even got others to watch.
NBC can go suck it!!!! I’m a busy ass mom and only select shows can have my full hour, Parenthood, Revenge, the Blacklist, Grimm and Believe. Now your canceling a great show. You should’ve put it on a different night if you didn’t think it was getting the ratings. This show is awesome and I hope some other station lucks this up and goes fArther than you ever gave them. (Kinda like josh Kaufman on the voice, getting fu pez hoy afán and now usher had him in the finals!) take note from your other show. Count count them completely… Read more »
I am so heart broken its cancelled..this was a family night movie we are sad its over:(
Cancelling “Believe” is EXACTLY why people have given up on network television !
We have watched every episode and DVR’d every week and plan our schedules around this show. Believe is innovative, intriguing and very much part of today’s culture! (We are over 60!!!) The cast is exceptional and the story lines are imaginative and “believable” – makes absolutely no sense why this series is being cancelled! Give it a fighting chance and make everyone happy by renewing the complete series!
I agree ! I loved Believe. Bring this show back. It was hard trying to figure out what show to watch at that hour. Change the time slot but I loved Bo with her witty smile!
I like the show, especially because it was low on violence and other Tom Foolery.
NBC likes to cancel good shows .. Deception was another good show that has been canceled.
There are too few non-violent, non-reality, and non-criminal shows tv, American TV is all about violence, crimes against women and child, foolishness ………it really sucks for the most part!
