Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
NBC…NOOOOOOO! Believe is a really, really good show. People tape shows and you may not realize how many people watch Believe although not at the time it is actaully on TV!! I think you need to rethink how you determine who watches what.
Is it possible any other channel is working on taking this show? It is a pity that a good show is put to an end. The same happened with Touch, as well as other shows that involve kids. I really don’t understand TV. This little girl is beautiful, wonderful and so charming, as well as a great actress. Real pity. Hope some channel takes it or NBC reconsiders.
How about sending all the positive comments to keep Believe from being cancelled. After all we should have some say in the matter. It all boils down to dollar and cents.
Believe is such a positive show. Can’t understand why such a good show would be cancelled. This little girl is a good roll model on tv. I hope you change your minds and renew this show.
VERY disappointed!!!!!!!!! This is a GREAT family show, and you want to take it off!!! I believe that most of the reason for the decline in ratings from the first show to the second is due to the change in days of the week. You put something on a Monday and change the next episode to a Sunday before people even get in the routine of the night that something comes on!!! NBC always takes off the good shows. I guess that is why I don’t watch a lot of shows on this network!!!!
It’s a shame that good shows don’t last. All my episodes were recorded to where I could watch them the next day. When the ratings are counted, they do not put into consideration of the recorded shows or shows later viewed on the web. With technology allowing us to record shows for later viewing because we are unable to view for any reason…early sleep schedule or out of town, you would think that would be considered in the ratings. I am very upset that such a good family show with morals has to die because of how ratings are counted.… Read more »
This is insane! I love this show. I will do anything to keep it on for future seasons!
Very disappointed! A great show about a child who sees good in people and helps them when others would turn away. A positive show for my kids, finally, and you take it away..how very sad. I hope you pay attention to peoples comments.
I just ask that you please, please..bring back Believe!!! It is a good positve show which we need ..
That’s why they are cancelling it. It is a positive show, one that does good for people even when you don’t know them. But lets face it…..all the execs see are numbers and those numbers reflect the masses of people who prefer reality tv or worse yet stupid programs that resonate evil and death. I am sad to see this show go by the wayside. Many years ago there was a show called Now and Again. It also was canceled after the first season because it was a good family show and clean story line. But there again it is… Read more »
This was one of our favorite shoes to watch, we looked forward to Believe every week. I really hate it when our favorite shows get cancelle. You really need to reconsider your descion and bring back BELIEVE please
It is disappointing that this series has to end. I agree that it is a very good show that the family can watch, which is probably why it is being cancelled. maybe one day the powers that be will take a chance on a show like this instead of some almost x rated housewives or a crazy reality show. please have second thoughts.
My family is very disappointed. We looked forward to it every week!
This is terrible. I hate how all the good shows are being canceled. I LOVE BELIEVE and haven’t missed a single episode. NBC really should bring it back like Lifetime brought back Drop Dead Diva.
I was very disappointed to hear Believe has been canceled. A very unique show to say the least.
Networks never cease to amaze me how really out of touch they are with what people enjoy watching & find entertaining on television. BELIEVE was a refreshing series about helping, caring, and a trusting. Too bad we don’t get to see how the chemistry between the characters continue to grow. A winner now gone.
Please don’t cancel the show our family loves it.
