After many years away, former Friends star David Schwimmer has returned to series television. He was part of an ensemble in FX’s American Crime Story: People vs OJ Simpson and is now one of the stars of Feed the Beast on AMC. Will this gritty drama be a success or disappointment in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Based on a Danish TV series, Feed the Beast revolves around two childhood best friends who open an upscale restaurant together. Tommy Moran (David Schwimmer) is a former sommelier and functional alcoholic who’s raising his 10-year-old son. His best friend is Dion Patras (Jim Sturgess), a man’s who’s fresh out of prison, a rockstar chef, and in debt to the mob. The rest of the cast includes Lorenza Izzo, John Doman, Elijah Jacob, Michael Gladis, and Christine Adams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the Feed the Beast TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Good show
I like the show a lot. one of the best out there.
I like this show. It’s unique with the cooking aspect. I like a lot of other dramas too such as Game of Thrones.
I think this is one of the best shows on TV. For all you people complaining about it, shut up and watch something else.
This show is atrocious!! I’ve seen a lot of shows but his is beyond bad….the season isn’t even trough and they have crammed in soooo much drama that it just ends up being a parody! The mob angle is pathetic (actors & storyline) the bickering between the characters is like watching two 14 year olds argue over who the guy likes the most & the cooking angle is well…..makes me want to bust out the TV dinner. AMC has been dropping the ball since breaking bad….starz on the other hand keeps em coming! I loves Swimmer in band of brothers…this… Read more »
I read the synopsis and thought no way would I like a show about cooking. But it’s bursting with drama and character challenges and surprise after surprise… really grew on me,I’m so glad I tried it, I’ve liked so few new summer shows this year.
Great show(I guess I have ‘the lowest of standards’ (asinine remark-one person’s opinion). It will be back.
[spoiler alert] F the B is TV at it’s worst. There’s nothing good about it. The dialog is flat and trite and the characters and acting are awful. Tommy has a single facial expression ALL the time which makes him look like a bloodhound who’s bummed out because he’s lost his sense of smell. Dion runs around like a drugged out manic meth-head who’s on speed all the time, and, oh wait, DION IS a drugged out manic meth-head who runs around on speed all the time. We have a supposedly Hispanic restaurant “manager” who not only is completely faking… Read more »
I’m loving this show. My son in law is a chef and a lot of this very familiar. The start-up, the menu creating, etc. I hope it lasts!
Only those viewers with the lowest of standards will be able to endure this wretched, unimaginative piece-of-s**t excuse for a TV show. Let’s look at the facts – Writing: horrendous. Acting: one-dimensional at its best; embarrassingly amateurish at its worst. The storyline and the characters are hackneyed and cartoonish. Who’s the programming genius who gave this show a green light?
Show runner Clyde Phillips got lucky with “Nurse Jackie” and “Dexter” because both of those shows had strong actors in the lead roles. No such luck this time.
Just a note: “Michele” is Michele Giordono, one of the producers and “John” is John Feddynich the production manager
All I can say is…wow. I love the fact that the simple fact the Lethal Weapon Blues-ey Guitar is used at the end of every conversation (twannnnng!).
I really enjoy it, though it’s too violent. Focus more on the restaurant, and the family relationships, the addictions while trying to work. Can’t stand seeing more fingers broken or teeth pulled out. But I’m drawn into Tommy and his son’s issues.
Cancel of renew?!? are you serious? I think the real question here is whether or not this show survives the summer! ..let alone get “renewed”. This is a muddled nightmare of cliche’ characters and redundant story threads. the “toothfairy”?!?! Give me a break…and the Bourdain-esque coke-riddled master chef. Yeah. havent seen THAT before. Bourdain prob suing them as I write. Oh yeah and let’s not forget Michael Rispoli?!?! you can’t even call that “character” acting… it is simply the same role overandover&over&over again. And again. (see how I “changed” it – but it still remained the SAME THING?!?! Get the… Read more »
We are loving it. Can’t wait until next week!
We are enjoying Feed the Beast.
