What’s This TV Show About?
A BBC and Netflix historical drama, The Last Kingdom stars Alexander Dreymon, David Dawson, Emily Cox, Tobias Santelmann, Harry McEntire, Joseph Millson, Björn Bengtsson, and Ian Hart. An adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s novel series, The Saxon Stories, the historical drama follows Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Dreymon), the son of a 9th Century Saxon nobleman. After killing his father, Danish invaders kidnap the boy and he is raised by their warlord, Ragnar. Years later, when Ragnar is killed, Uhtred vows to avenge him and reclaim his birthright. In season three, both King Alfred’s (Dawson) health and his dreams of a united England are fading. Meanwhile, Uhtred must take command and confront a new threat — Danish warlord Sigrid (Bengtsson).

Will BBC and Netflix cancel or renew The Last Kingdom for season four? It’s tough to say, because we only have access to Netflix TV show “ratings,” if they decide to release them. Since this series is a co-production between the UK and US companies, that further complicates things. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments. The Last Kingdom is one of my top TV series of all time. We Uhtred fans really deserve a fourth season, if not more, please.

need to see Uhtred take back bebbanbourg. the story is not complete right now. not even close.
This show really needs to come back. It’s one of the few shows on TV that is interesting & that has it all. Action, drama, intrigue & yes, a little romance. Please do not let this show get canceled.
Lane –
Season 3 was a bit dark – usually the writers have Ultred a little more lighthearted from time to time. But bad luck seemed to follow everyone with some good actors being killed off – the ending left me kinda sad. The story has a lot of life left in it because our Hero is a fictional character, not bound by history. And there are many paths to follow with this series. Hey Netflix – do not get us dissolutioned and cancel it. I’m might find myself cancelling you!
I am waiting to watch when Uhtred fights his uncle to reclaim Bebbanburg . Netflix better not cancel the show.
Why do you still refer to the BBC with regard to TLK? They no longer have anything to do with the series! They bailed after season 2. Netflix isn’t even bothering to promote the show, which is odd in itself. I don’t know what their game is, but it certainly isn’t to keep fans happy.
If they cancel this show, I will cancel my Netflix subscription

This is the best show ever and needs to get out into the media to keep it from being cancelled. If this show is cancelled, you might as well cancel all your shows.
