Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

Just watched all 10 episodes in a week and I want more. Why didn’t I know about this show when it aired?!?!?!?!
I found this show yesterday on Hulu and watched 4 or 5 episodes. I would happily make this a regular show to watch. Love the twists and turns wondering what is coming next. Shame on whoever for ending it!
My vote can not compare to how I really feel about Missing. I’m highly disappointed but not surprised that somebody/some people who make up a team that controls concepts and direction of the show didn’t want to do the job they are paid to do. A prime example of pure laziness ,I feel If a return of the show is possible please proceed.
I enjoyed show to say a lot is to say nothing. But the cancelation of it does not surprise me at all. It is not quality of the show, but the quality of understanding material by a viewer. And that is why Honey Bo Bo will run for another gazillion years (season 3…or 4 already) Hopefully she’ll die soon of a hart attack and it will be one less adult-idiot to support by all of us later.
P.S. Very surprise 2-nd season of “Hannibal” is back.
I just discovered this show on Netflix and watched all the episodes in a week. Over it. I want more.
Just found this on Hulu. Networks better find a new way to determine if a series is a success . Most of us stream rather than wait around to watch a show each week. Too bad this was cancelled binge watched all 10 eps in 2 days. Loved it! Will recommend to fellow fb streamers at least it closed the storyline. Take it to Netflix maybe they will make season 2. It is as good as House of Cards. Get with modern viewers Neanderthal network workers.
PLEASE….PLEASE…..PLEASE bring this show back :'( I watched every episode and i looooved it. I could feel every moment in this show. I can not believe how low the ratings were.
really enjoyed this show and looked forward to watching it each week. Finally a new show I liked haven’t seen anything in years that was new that I(we) liked. We were on the edge of our seats watching each episode. We were very disappointed to hear it was cancelled especially leaving it hanging not knowing what happened to Becca. Please bring it back.I completely agree with
I had never heard of the series and caught it on my interactive subscription here in Holland. I watched all 10 episodes in two days…loved it. Seeing as it has Ashley & Sean & Keith what is not to love? Kinda expected the ending but as far as I’m concerned there should definitely be a 2nds season. On the other hand, if it stays like this…has she done a Paul? You can have great fun making up your own plot…but still, it didn’t deserve to be dropped the way it has been. Four Stars.
I loved this show too!!! Yes Why cancel it becuz you have Six MILLION Viewers??? Thats a heck of a LOT of People!! Please bring it back again! You know I don’t have too many shows that are my Favourite, Because I Finally get to see certain shows that jive with me, and then you cancel them!!! So you Think SIX MILLION PEOPLE don’t give you enough profit??? It sure would for me and Many others, that might B out of a job!
