Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

this is a great show it would have got better ratings if you idiots would,nt put it on at the same time as big bang theory which is another great show DAH!!!!!!!!!

I agree totally with the above comments. The show was excellent and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I cannot believe they’re canceling it or that people could stop watching it after starting. I’m also very disappointed I won’t see it next season.
Wow what a disapointment. This is such a great show. It sure is a break from all the reality stuff they have on now. I really hope another network pays attention and picks this series up. Ashley Judd is spectacular in this show, never a dull moment. Please think twicw and don’t cancel this awesome TV show.
American Idol, Dancing With Star, and Voice these shows were a treat to this marvelous show. The foreign scenery and sights along with the story line, cast and everything were a big +++ with some deep thinking. Can’t believe that it could have been better written, acted, etc. etc. Very disappointed…….it kicked ass and now maybe someone will re think it! SAD!!!
Look at all of these emails….everyone of them tells of the disappointment in canceling Missing. Doesn’t that say something to you ABC? People loved this show. I loved this show, it was suspenseful, thrilling and action filled (not just one episode, but every week.) Please do not base this show on the ratings, there are so many reason why they were low,…. I’m devastated that Missing was cancelled. I think it was in the same category as 24.!! Great acting and awesome plot. Also, the finale gave me hope that it was returning. Shame on ABC!!
This is a great show. Every week I look forward to seeing it. Its appeal is similar to the Bourne identity. Please renew this. Show.
Please don’t cancel! This show had the greatest plot and most unpredictable turns. The acting was phenemonal and the show kept getting more intriguing and exciting. I am shocked it didn’t receive more ratings than it deserves….I love this show! Please sign on….you will surely be disappointed and regret it.

Great show. great actors. great theme. great sites from different countries. DON’T CANCEL The theme of “missing” people is SO REAL in so many countries, that to see for once that the person is found enables viewers to keep dreaming that miracles can still happen. It’s difficult to think that we have enough viewers to uphold really good series.
Wonderful show. So sorry to hear that it has been cancelled. Ashley is an exceptional actress. All done on location, can’t get any better than that. Great story line. Ending sure leave you wondering what happened to her. This series needs to continue.

Make no mistake, you’re making a big mistake cancelling this series. Awesome show! The ONLY show I watched this season. Nothing else even caught my attention.
What closure? I have followed this show since the 1st episode and, after finally getting her son back, now Ashley Judd’s character Becca Winstone is missing, leaving a trail of blood on her car seat-Thanks, ABC, for ruining the ending of a good series.
