This Summer TV show, NY Med, follows the staff of three New York hospitals as they try to help patients in need. Television ratings aren’t a matter of life or death but they do help determine what sort of programming ABC will produce in the future.
These are the TV show’s ratings for the Summer 2012 season, the best way to tell if NY Med is going to be cancelled or renewed for season two. Right now, ABC is billing it as an eight-episode series.
Be sure to check out our ABC summer ratings report card to see how this show’s numbers compare with the others on the network.

What do you think? Do you like the NY Med TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
YES, YES, A SUPERIOR PROGRAM – NOT JUST ENTERTAINING, VERY INFORMATIVE!!! PLEASE PLEASE RENEW IT!!!
As a Health Educator in the school system I found that this show was very educational and accurate with the information shown. It let us see what truly goes on in a trauma hospital. I do hope this show is renewed. Oz is the man! He has brought more understanding to the area of health over the years.
I cannot beliefe that we are talking cancellation with this show, best thing that ever hit TV and now its off? what is the story here? are people blind and don’t see how good this programm realy is? I guess they are into the Kardashians
My husband & I loved the television show N.Y. Med!! We want to see it come back as a regular series. We love the reality of real life episodes in the day to day life of a hospital emergency room, doctors & nurses.
PLEASE RENEW!! Wonderful show.
This show needs to be renewed, it is educational and shows how the medical professionals have to make life and death decisions on a daily basis. I miss the show and found myself looking forward to new episodes with Doctor Oz weekly.
Looks like this has already been cancelled – since I can’t get for the last couple weeks. Leave it to ABC – once my fav network. No morning news (unless your count the marqueed headlines relegated to the bottom of the screen) while dancing poodles have untold time wasted on them. NY Med was a great show, and looked forward to it all week. Screw ABC – gone to NBC, PBS, and (gulp) FOX
Yes
hooked on it in the first few minutes==the best medical reality show and really promotes organ donation–i always thought “no way=i’m keeping what i have” now after watching
ny med my whole family is leaning towards becoming donors==great show how it returns
I love NY Med–it is real and shows successful and unsuccessful outcomes. I also love that the nurses are such a large part of the story too. It is what really happens. The patients are real too, and that is a breath of fresh air. Please renew!!
I loved New York Med I hope they bring it back.
This is an excellent show! I love the excitement of life in the ER and following the lives of real nurses and doctors. This TV show could literally save a life. People are unaware of symtoms they might be having and what they could mean, until they see a show like this. Please do not cancel it!
Please make more episodes of NY Med. it is truly a wonderful program!
NY Med is a very entertaining show. Who needs Gray’s Anatomy when you have the real thing. I so hope it won’t be cancelled.
this is a great show; pulse pounding and soooooooo real doctors and nurses all compassionate and talented. bring this back…….anything with dr. oz’s connection shines. thanks for showing it. p
Best NEW show in years: let it continue.
