This fantasy adventure series is based on the young adult fantasy book series by Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments.
On her 18th birthday, Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) is celebrating at the Pandemonium, a New York City nightclub. While there, she sees a group of teenagers with supernatural abilities attacking a demon who’s entered the club. She realizes that she is the only person who can see them.
Her mother Jocelyn (Maxim Roy) later explains that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters — human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. While trying to protect Clary, her mother is kidnapped by a demon so Clary must join the group of Shadowhunters to save her. Along the way, Clary discovers that she has amazing powers she didn’t know that she had.
Thrown into the world of demon-hunting, Clary relies on mysterious Jace Wayland (Dominic Sherwood), and siblings Isabelle and Alec Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia and Matthew Daddario) to navigate this new dark world.
With her best friend Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) along for the ride, Clary must now live among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves to find answers that could help her find her mother.
Nothing is as it seems. Her close family friend, Luke Garroway (Isaiah Mustafa), knows more than he’s telling. Meanwhile, enigmatic warlock Magnus Bane (Harry Shum, Jr.) may hold the key to unlocking Clary’s past.

I don’t know how to express my love for the show All I can say it was more then the best show I’ve ever seen when I watched the last episode it broke my heart the it was gone but thanks for the t.v show it was the best show I’ve ever seen well more then the best show thanks again
it is really a shame to stop a wonderful series with an end that tells us that there will be another season, which is not the case (well I hope not), characters disturbing and touching at the same time . Clary and Jace deserve a better ending with everything they’ve gone through

This is the most amazing serial I’ve ever seen. The actors are really amazing and talented. They have so energy, empathy, determination and love. ♥ You will fall in love with this series from the beginning. I can’t believe that this amazing serial ended in 3 series. It broke my heart. The Shadow hunters will remain in my heart forever. ♥ Love it ♥ I really need more series ♥ It does not deserve the end !!! Other serial about Shadow hunters doesn´t exist! #saveShadowhunters
I love this show and I am over 60 years of age. Freeform keeps cancelling good shows.
Why order more episodes for season 3 and then cancel? Shadowhunters has a good fan base and deserves another season.

Why are you people cancelling the show? It’s the best show and has a creat fanbase. What other prove do you need? If you want to lose people watching Netflix close everthing. Give us at least 4 seasons. Or the best close ever. I suggest both

Please renew the show. They won 4 awards in people’s choice this year and on other award shows this summer. They truly deserve to get a fourth season for all the hard work they have done not to mention all around the world #saveshadowhunters are fighting to keep the show running. It has become apart of everybody’s life.
