NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.

I really enjoyed this show. I agree it should not be cancelled and that NBC do a better job promoting it!!
It’s a fun show. A very nice change from all the drama/mayhem standard police shows the “major” networks seem to do over and over again. Chrysler and Jackie are such a fun team. I love being able to LOL from time to time. Unfortunately, knowing NBC, they probably won’t give it a chance. I hope I’m wrong.

This show would have fit nicely on the old USA. not the new “edgy” network that is seeing its ratings fall through the basment

We would like to see this show continue. It has a different premise and the characters are all likeable in their own fashion. LET THE SHOW LIVE ON.
I hope this show survives. There are a lot of cop shows; this one has its own unique charm.
I’ll be really bummed if they cancel this show! I went online to see when the next season would begin, only to find out that this terrific show is on the chopping block and amazed that it had low ratings. Clearly, the network has done a lousy job of promoting the program- thats where the low ratings come in!!It has a terrific and diverse cast. and the progression of the story line is consistent , yet not too predictable. Enjoyable renew
Here my opinion its a good show don’t cancel that taxi Brooklyn I’m tired of ABC NBC CBS every time there’s a good show on they never seen to renew the contract or renew the shows so many shows has been cancelled I’m really disappointed TV anymore but they can’t seem to keep these shoes on but then I put on these other stupid shows and you leave the other shows hanging with no ending to him cancel show with the season ending for a cancellation to make people not wonder what the end it would be like

Please don’t cancel this show, I love the concept and it is different. Chyler Leigh is a great actress and she is very convincing in any part she is a played. Let is go another season, just promote it a little better. I’m sure all the Grey’s Anatomy fans would love to see Chyler Leigh (Lexi) again even if she isn’t on Grey’s Anatomy. I follow all the characters to the new shows. Give it a sporting chance.
I love this show. The cast work so well together. Great chemistry between Cat and Jacky Ido. The finale had me on the edge of my seat. PLEASE RENEW FOR A SECOND SEASON.!!!!!!!
Love the show. I like the comedy, personalities of the characters to off set the gore. Please do not cancel it.
