NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.

This is a great, fun show with sexy, romantic characters, and Cop shows always go over well. Give it a chance. Must See More!

I liked the show – different combo of lead characters- total opposites great casting. I dvr’d it as against other great shows-but I watched it, and looked forward to it. I ranked it with the Blacklist and Revenge. BRING IT BACK!

It was a very good show. My husband enjoyed it and looked forward to it each week. Sorry it was cancelled.
Yes, when the show first began, i didn’t think it would survive. I thought it was trying to hard. But, I hung in there with it and it grew on me as the characters became more familiar and, it seemed, the actors found their comfort zones. The episodes got better and better and, by the end, I was hooked and sad the season was over. I, too, hope this show is brought back for a second season – it deserves it!
This has to be one of the worst shows in tv. history. Insipid, moronic, lackluster, boring, vapid, junk. If you like this show, you are one of the “lowest common denominator” types that the entertainment business caters to these days. What a brain-dead show. Ha! “Cat”, the tough cop! Hahahahahahaha !!!
I’ll bet that you watch Big Brother, Survivor and The Bachelor and probably The Simpsons and would not appreciate something with a story line. So Sad!
you are so dumb and you have a lack of intelligent that’s the only reason you dont like this show it is great and they chose the perfect actors for this show they work together brilliantly you probably watch the common shows… you are clearly a lonely person who sits and watches shows the hole day and deliver unnecessary non useful comments… so keep your negativity to yourself if you dont like it dont watch it……

It is a very different show with an excellent cast and interesting characters and twists. Please renew the show and like everyone is saying , promote it so it can have a chance.
Many of the great series were about to be cancelled in the beginning until the word got out and more viewers tuned in.

Taxi Brooklyn is a brilliant series please do not end it just yet, it has so much caracter, so please let there be a season 2 and end it off with a big bang….

Taxi Brooklyn was a great show we watched every epidode. All the characters mesh great. Just try a different time slot and I would hate to leave BBC but if it airs on a different channel we will be there. Please renew!!
