TV show description:
Based on the novels by Candace Bushnell, this TV series is set in 1984 and revolves around a 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb). Her mother passed away and since that time, Carrie’s younger sister Dorrit (Stefania Owen) has become more rebellious than ever. Their father, Tom (Matt Letscher), is overwhelmed with the responsibility of suddenly having to care for two teenage girls on his own.
Thankfully for Carrie, her friends -– geeky Mouse (Ellen Wong), snarky Maggie Landers (Katie Findlay), and sensitive Walt Reynolds (Brendan Dooling) -– make life bearable, but a suburban life in Connecticut isn’t doing much to take her mind off her troubles.
Even the arrival of a sexy new transfer student — Sebastian (Austin Butler) — only reminds Carrie that she spent the whole summer grieving over her loss, rather than moving on with life.
So, when Tom offers Carrie the chance to intern at a law firm in Manhattan, she leaps at the chance. Carrie’s eyes are opened wide at the glamour and grit of New York City. When she meets Larissa Loughton (Freema Agyeman), the style editor for Interview magazine, Carrie becomes inspired by the club culture and unique individuals that make up Larissa’s world.
Carrie’s friends and family may have a big place in her heart, but she’s fallen in love for the first time with the most important man in her life – Manhattan.
Episode #26 — “Run to You”
Things grow increasingly tense between Carrie and Tom. When Larissa drops an unexpected bomb on Carrie, Sebastian decides he, too, needs to come clean about something. Maggie turns to Walt when she thinks Pete (guest star Claybourne Elder) is cheating on her, but gets the surprise of her life. Mouse and West (guest star RJ Brown) find themselves in a sticky situation. Elsewhere, Samantha considers leaving the city, and Larissa’s wedding to Harlan (guest star Scott Cohen) is out of this world.
First aired: January 31, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Carrie Diaries TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
I am a big fan of carrie diaries, it was the only show which i kept watching no matter if my nephews are around or m alone or watever… it’s an appeal from whole of INDIA that we do not have such tv networks available but only netflix and other platforms to watch such shows…
bring it back
I’ve become far to invested in this show for it to Never be on again!! I love it!! Personally just because fans don’t watch it on The CW network doesn’t mean we don’t watch it!! I watched in on the internet mostly…Oh please let the show Air again Somewhere!!
Super p.o.ed I love this show. I just started watching it on Netflix cuz I haven’t had cable since forever to come to find there will be no more after season 2. Hope they seriously reconsider for us Internet viewers

I really miss watching Carrie diaries. It reminds me of my high school experience nd I miss it a lot. :'( please bring Carrie diaries back. Im just too obsessed to get over it.
You officially ruinned my life.I want it renewed.I hope your happy I have nothing to watch and we should have gotten to vote.I think it is unfair to the viewers to cancel the Carrie Diaries. You should have thought of your dear viewers. You lost a loyal viewer today due to the Carrie Diaries canceled. Sincerely,Ex-Viewer
It sucks that the Carrie diaries will not be aired no more cause I have fallen to love the characters including Walt for being a gay man and overcoming his fears!!! That shows a lot to the LGBT community that hasn’t come out yet… Wish this show would be airing again with great more ideas and more real life situation like they always have been doing throughout the show!!!
i love the carrie diaries, i don’t understand why such a good show would be considered to end. who the hell made the decision to cancel it??
Keep Carrie diaries! Not every show should have to be an instant hit to stay… It’s good and sex and the city followers will love if given a chance.
Please don’t cancel the show!!! And please bring back Austin Butler in season 3, because he is kind of the main reason I watch it! 🙂
