The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

This is the one show my 15 yr old son and I watched together, and looked forward to watching every Wednesday night (Canada). Other than hockey, there are no other shows that bind us and we are truly disappointed that it has been cancelled. The storyline kept us hooked….. Please bring back another season !

I find it bad business to cancel. It was a terrific show. My whole family has been watching on Netflix. What the networks need to realize is that tv watching as it once was is changing. Cable is way too expensive and life makes it difficult to watch shows as they come on their specified times. We have Netflix and Hulu which combined is much cheaper than cable or satellite. The networks need to figure a more appropriate way to measure the popularity of a program.
I stayed up all night watching this show on Netflix and told my friends about it now they all watch it, don’t end this show, its too great.
Make a 2nd season I loved this show if you won’t I’ll get the rights to it and make it happen my self. -SS

im in the uk an managed to catch the first episode of this show on the plan on my way home from jamaica an since i been home have watch the complete season 1 an thought it was awesome an cant wait for season 2 to find out its been cancelled i think they shud release in the uk on a Wednesday or Thursday an ratings would boom over hear just like everything else
