The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

This is really sad if there is not another season. I hate when you get attached a show and the chatacters and the nitwits deside to cancel a really great show. It is so diffrent that what is out there right now. Maybe if they put vampires or zombes in it they will bring it back.
This really sucks. I missed the show originally airing on The CW, but caught the 1st season on Netflix. Now that I’ve finished it I was expecting to find that there would be an airing of a second season, to my disappointment I discover there will be no second season. Hope this is soon cleared up and that the Tomorrow people may find its way airing online or on the CW again.

this is terrible news I was enjoying the show I’m not able to catch on the regular night. But I have enjoyed watching the series on Netflix and was hopping that it would show again on Hulu and later on Netflix. I would hope the change their minds.
Very sad news. Just caught the show on Netflix and was instantly hooked. Saw the entire season in one weekend. One of the very few shows me and my husband have enjoyed watching together. Sorry they didn’t receive the ratings that they expected but it wasn’t due to poor programming. Please bring it back on Netflix or something!

Omg “The Secret Circle” was AMAZING as well! The least the CW could do was not end on a cliffhanger like that -_-
I just discovered this show on Netflix, and watched the whole first season in a week. Sad to hear it got canceled. I really liked the show. Paranormal heroes are awesome!!!!!

I’m very sorry to hear this. I unfortunately didn’t have the privilege of seeing the show when it aired, didn’t have any knowledge of it at all, and was able to just now catch it on Netflix and enjoyed it very much. It would have been great to see what could have been done in another season. Wish I would have caught it when it aired and wish they would reconsider. 🙁
