As per usual, American Idol was the big winner of the night but it was down a bit. The episode of Bones was a backdoor pilot for a spin-off. The episode was down but that probably won’t impact FOX’s decision very much.
On NBC, despite the fact that Will Ferrell guested on The Office once again, it was down. Community took a big hit and The Paul Reiser Show sank even lower than its premiere. Will episode three air before that one’s cancelled? Looks doubtful.
Over on The CW, Vampire Diaries and Nikita didn’t vary much from last week’s episodes. Both ABC and CBS were in repeats.

I tend to agree with Anonymous regarding the April 21st episode of Bones, it was less than stellar. I hope that is not an indicator of the series future.
The April 21st episode of Bones was surprisingly disappointing- no, lousy. My husband and I are in our mid-sixties, began watching Bones on the advice of our 30’s something daughter, and quickly became hooked. The dialog is clever, stories intriguing and acting superb. But the new characters introduced last night were inept and the dialogue worse than mediocre. We have purchased all the previous episodes of Bones, as have our son and his wife and my brother’s teenage daughters. We were all hoping the series would take home lots of Emmys, but if you switch to the poor quality of… Read more »
